Role synopsis
This role ensures the full suite of Finance accountabilities are managed and delivered effectively for Air BP in the MENA region, critical in the context of Air BP’s growth agenda and expansion in the region.

The Finance Manager will be a key member of the MENA cluster leadership team and will be the focal link to other functions i.e. GBS, Tax, Legal, Treasury and IT&S. As well as leading the delivery of core Finance activities including planning and performance management, monitoring delivery of strategic implementation plans, financial reporting and MI, credit risk management, transactional accounting, internal control, compliance and finance capability development.

Key accountabilities
Integrate strategy development, planning and performance management processes, including translating business strategies into business plans that focus on activities and financial outcomes.

Provide timely, accurate and reliable financial and management information to meet both internal and external reporting requirements

Maintain effective financial and operational controls through monitoring and compliance activities

Enable and deliver transactional accounting activities for Air BP in MENA as well as driving continuous improvements in key processes

Ensure that external reporting is prepared in accordance with BP Group accounting policies as set out in the Group Reporting Manual

Drive standardisation and simplification of systems and processes and ensure alignment with Global Air BP model and templates

Deliver credit risk management and associated activities including monitoring and reporting credit exposure

Support the businesses in the identification, economic evaluation and delivery of business opportunities and ensure compliance with Group standards and practices (e.g. GIAAPs, CVP etc.). Ensure proper governance and project rigour at all stages

Champion the overall compliance agenda in the Region

Maintain and develop capability (people, processes and systems) in the Finance organisation and energise the teams to deliver the short and long term priorities

Essential Education
Bachelor Degree/Accounting qualification, MBA/Post graduate qualification desirable

Essential experience and job requirements
This role requires someone with in depth operating experience as a Finance Manager or equivalent, knowledge and exposure to reporting, planning and performance management processes, experienced team leader familiar with culturally diverse environments, proven track record in leading and delivering core Finance accountabilities, deeply analytical, numerate with strong commercial acumen.

This role will be based in Dubai and has a team of 5 reporting into it

The business currently has ambitious growth plans which will require a high level of business partnering if they are to be achieved

Leadership of the regional team to ensure delivery of a challenging finance agenda

Maintaining and continuous improvement of the business controls
