Financial Media Representative – Aramco , Saudi Arabia

Position Description:
We are seeking a Financial Media Representative to join the Media Relations Division of Aramco.
Media Relations is the trusted front-line strategic communications outfit for corporate-level media relations helping to position the company as the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals producer.
The Media Relations team functions as the Company’s primary point of contact for domestic and international journalists, and helps media and other key audiences to understand and interpret the company’s strategy and business activities in an open, honest, and transparent way. The team optimizes content delivery through converged print, online, and broadcast channels.
The Financial Media Representative primary role is to coordinate activities to support communication of the company’s financial and operational performance and prospects in coordination and alignment with Finance – External Reporting Division and Investor Relations. This includes communications support on key projects: M&A, potential bond/financing, AGM, quarterly results, and earnings call.

Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or an Arts-related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have a minimum 10+ years of experience in Public Relations and Media Relations, gained from either agency and/or in-house corporate setting, ideally in energy, oil, and gas sector.
Native English speaker, with excellent English writing and presentation skills.
You will have knowledge and understanding of the broader energy industry.
Deep domain expertise in media relations/media handling, including on strategic corporate announcements and financial results/earnings — working alongside investor relations.
Deep knowledge of and contacts across international business media (print/online/broadcast) and excellent understanding of social media.
Proven experience of media handling in crisis situations, with consistent ability to respond calmly and with confidence in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organized and detail oriented, with exceptional sense of responsibility and accountability.
A self-starter who works independently with responsibility and minimal supervision, focused on delivery.
Sound judgment underpinned by strong sense of news and appreciation of the news cycle.
Strong business acumen and understanding of corporate drivers.
Ability to distil complex information and sector-specific technical language and processes for stakeholders with varied levels of knowledge of the sector and the subject.
Professional gravitas, credibility and diplomacy skills to liaise with senior leaders and executives.
Strong interpersonal skills, and proven team working and team management skills.
Trustworthy and responsible; handles confidential issues with sensitivity and care at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Candidate will be reported to: Head of International Media/Financial Media.
You will be required to perform the following:
Coordinate activities to support communication of the company’s financial and operational performance and prospects in coordination and alignment with Finance – External Reporting Division and Investor Relations.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives within a busy media team.
Communications support on key projects: M&A, potential bond/financing, AGM, quarterly results, and earnings call.
Develop strategy, messages, and Q&A, collaterals/content, and activation plans, to support promotion and alignment on corporate governance, disclosure, and fiscal discipline positioning.
Ensure financial communication strategies and plans are fully aligned and integrated with the overall Corporate Communication Strategy.
Leverage available enterprise data and research (e.g., corporate reputation tracking data and stakeholder insights) to inform future communication strategies, content creation, and engagement.
Development of KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of communications and external engagement with content and understanding of strategy.
Provide functional support and advice on strategic media issues for senior leaders in the organization.
Prepare communications briefings, media plan, and Q&A documents for top executives (for financial media activities).
Ensure materials are prepared to consistent Aramco standards and ensures systematic adherence to Aramco processes.
Where appropriate, attend relevant events, providing support required and ensuring accountability reporting on outcomes of attendance and participation at such events.
Implement media and social media evaluation, and performance tracking and analysis to inform strategy.
Support the company’s crisis communications activities, crisis preparedness, and media handling during crisis incidents.
Manage colleagues and communications agencies to deliver consistent results to an exceptional and consistent standard.
