Information Security Project Officer, Etihad Airways, UAE

What are we trying to do?
This role forms a major part of the Information Security, Governance and Risk Strategy across our Technology & Innovation business to ensure that we are a beacon of best practice and an innovator in this field that will enhance our guest offering the most exciting best in class tools to our customers worldwide.

What do we need help with?
We currently have a gap in our Information Security Function and the role will be a key coordination and support role for all prioritised information Security projects. This role requires someone who is confident and well versed in the coordination of Information Security projects. This gap needs someone who is a hands on and organised project support person to support the delivery of information security enabled programmes and projects; on-time and within cost and quality targets to achieve agreed business outcomes and benefits; adhering to governance frameworks, tools, processes, policies, procedures and standards.

What you will do?
Deliver assigned tasks to support the delivery of programmes and projects in in accordance with Etihad Aviation Group governance frameworks, tools, processes, policies, procedures and standards – ensuring all external supplier resources adhere to Etihad policies and procedures
Collate and analyse programme / project data to produce transparent reports and presentations – escalating identified issues as required
Managing the programme / project documentation library in alignment with governance standards ensuring availability of working and approved versions
Monitors adherence to governance frameworks by the programme / project teams advising on requirements and standards
Ensure mandatory PPM tool data is complete, accurate and timely enabling transparent reporting for assigned programmes and projects identifying areas deviation advising on requirements and standards
Arranges internal and external programme / project events
Monitors external resource physical and logical security
Provide feedback / suggestions to continually improve project management frameworks, processes and tools
Under the direction of Project and/or Programme managers, lead the completion of mandatory deliverables and artefacts (e.g. project plans, budgets, RACIs, etc.)

What you’ll need to know?
To be successful in this role you need to be a collaborative and agile thinker that challenges the norm and applies a real duty of care to end users and broader customers. You would have performed a technical role that utilises your technical information security and corporate governance capabilities with an added skill in stakeholder and expectation management to be able to share the advantages and end impacts to such best practices. This will require deep technical knowledge of the associated tools. Ideally a seasoned Information Security technical expert in an enterprise environment could be successful in this role.

Required capabilities:
Education and expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Technology related disciplined preferred but not essential
Knowledge of information security best practices and methodologies.
Competent with MS Office and project management software
Solid project experience ideally in a supplier-centric and/or outsourced environment and reputable overall enterprise business experience.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Should have worked in a fast paced and collaborative environment
Verbal and written communication, with ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of business and IT stakeholders at various organizational levels
Ability to manage execution of projects by security services providers and internal teams
Experience in working in a dynamic context within a managed services, multi-vendor and geographically-dispersed organizational environment.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Demonstrated analytical skills.
Competent with MS Office and project management software

Knowledge of the airline/ aviation / travel industries would be ideal but not essential
Solid track record in delivering solutions to impacted business areas in a consultative and user centric mind-set

Preferred Capabilities:
Recognised Project Management Qualification (e.g. PRINCE 2, PMP, APM)
Sound knowledge of industry best practice and standards pertaining to Information Security, risk management and data privacy
ITIL Foundation certificate in ITSM desirable
Deep understanding of international and local regulations pertaining to Aviation, Information Security and data privacy
