Manager Freighter Operations, Etihad Airways, UAE

As such, we are seeking talented and committed individuals, who can Manage Etihad Cargo freighter operations (including ACMI providers) in addition to line management for the Etihad Loadmaster team. Engage with outstations and third party providers at designated freighter stations across the Etihad Cargo network. Focus on safe and secure operations, service delivery and operational efficiency, regulatory and EY compliance, manual integrity, customer engagement for charter and special charter planning.

Main point of contact for stakeholder liaison with i.e. NOC, Short/long Term Freighter Scheduling, Charter Team, Capacity Control, Network Planning, Flight Ops, Catering, Maintenance, Fueling, Regional Cargo Handling Managers to ensure operational issues are taken into account from a freighter perspective.

Accountabilities
Lead and direct the Etihad Loadmaster team to ensure all relevant departmental tasks are fulfilled within the agreed and defined timeframes
Accountable point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for operational, performance and logistics management around scheduled freighters and ad-hoc charters. Encourage and maintain efficient cross-functional engagement.
Introduce relevant freighter specific operations and performance reports in order to improve service delivery measured by departmental KPIs such as Freighter On-Time-Performance, DAP & Cargo IQ.
Manage and ensure selection of suitable third party suppliers during ad-hoc freighter planning for on/off-line stations. Manage freighter station start-ups. Due diligence and mapping of 3rd party supplier’s contractual set-up, SLA process, audit and performance monitoring scheme. Manage compliance to Etihad Cargo defined service expectations incl. AUH HUB operations through SLA’s and KPI reporting. Identifying areas of improvement with local EY teams and third party service providers across the freighter network.
Accountable for Loadmaster, catering and freighter operations budget, responsible to implement cost controls related to e.g. catering, LM cost of operation, freighter operations and identify opportunities to reduce costs..
Develop and implement relevant manuals for Loadmaster Category including Loadmaster Manual, FTL Policy and procedure documents etc.
Manage ACMI engagement and relations ship, performance review meetings and reporting. Ensure required auditing and finding closure and follow-up. Manage compliance and support contract set-up.

Education & Experience
University degree desirable but not essential if educated to secondary degree school level with significant relevant work experience. Minimum High School Education
Further education in logistics/aviation and/or business management is a definite advantage.
Minimum 7 years’ experience – with a demonstrable experience in:
Airline Cargo Operations, Ground Handler Operations,
Operational Management at a station or hub level
