Job Description
The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Applications Specialist (ERP) in the Information Technology Department. Reporting to the
ERP Supervisor, the Applications Specialist (ERP) must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Information Technology Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will provide technical and functional support in the areas of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems administration, problem resolution, support, process mapping, system testing and development, security access and training.
Candidates should have an outstanding record of industry experience in a similar or, related role within Business Applications development, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Application Specialist. The successful candidate is responsible for data processing solutions to enhance the college’s ERP systems. The successful candidate will also, develop procedures in coordination with relevant stakeholders to ensure integrity of the ERP system and databases and, ensure that ITIL standards and other policies governing data management are met.
Candidates will assign system access to users at different levels across the College in line with policies, procedures and processes, define user needs and develop data processing solutions with end users on all functional modules and, design and deliver training material for the College’s ERP system in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Candidates will support in the design, construction and implementation of IT applications in alignment with College policies, troubleshoot application software and database problems, liaise with business, technical staff and vendors to resolve ERP issues and, prepare reports documenting ERP system and ensuring monitoring and compliance with ITIL standards and college’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities also include communicating College policies and protocol concerning ERP system.

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field required.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT or related field.
Fluency in written and spoken English language.
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language, is preferred

Other Required Skills:
Ambitious and self-motivated team player with strong IT technical skills and the ability to apply technical knowledge and provide sound comprehensive advice is required. A desire to achieve organizational success and to lead by example is required. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. Good attention to detail is essential and the ability to anticipate change is required. Knowledge of applications and software development is required; knowledge of programming languages is required. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organisations is required. A Commitment to ongoing IT training and continuous professional development is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English language is required.
