BILLING OFFICER – Emirates Group , UAE

Job Purpose
Responsible for timely processing of Airport handling and non-flight related invoices for service delivery at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) Responsible for Dispute & feedback resolution, auditing & process improvements, data retention and analysis

Job Accountabilities
Plan
– Plan and organise for Airport handling and non-flight related invoicing based on billing cycles
Deploy
– Supervise and support the Billing Team to ensure timely completion of Billing events based on defined
timelines
Lead
– Implement new processes and brief the Billing Team
– Audit and track performance of Billing Team
– Identify and implement corrective & preventive measures for under performance
Execute
– Plan and organise for fortnightly and monthly invoicing by ensuring chargeable services are accurately reported by stakeholders.
– Review and validate rates on the Master database of the Billing system to ensure billing accuracy.
– Report exceptions to Commercial Managers for correction prior to billing cycle
– Ensure data imports from interface systems are verified before the invoicing cycle
– Perform monthly billing audits ensuring chargeable services are accurately billed
– Ensure Quotation, Indemnity and Proforma invoicing are timely managed providing sufficient notice for pre-arrangement of funds
– Liaise with Group Finance for allocation of dedicated accounts to new customers and ensuring these are updated in the billing system for proper accounting
– Ensure Cash Advance accounts are adequately funded and eliminate risk of exposure
– Analyse monthly billing reports and prepare trend analysis on revenue streams and services
– Prepare and Analyse Billing disputes periodically and introduce preventive measure
– Identify means of streamlining processes and introduce improvements along with department SQ&P
– Ensures safety of staff and that they possess the skills, knowledge and confidence to work safely by providing support and acting as role model for the desired safe behaviours
– Manage accruals and provisions related to incentives and billing
– Develop the billing team through training, coaching and motivating to ensure the best operational results
– Performance Manage the team ensuring quality and timely completion of Performance reviews and setting up of development plans as required.
– Plan and Organise billing of Special events such as Air show, MEBAA
– Develop and support the Billing Business continuity plan

Qualifications & Experience
Finance & Insurance.Revenue Accounting :

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Experience: 5+ years of experience in ground handling / airport operations
Proficient data collection and analysis skills
Customer relationship Knowledge, Good understanding of ground handling services, Knowledge of customer SLA and agreement
Fluent in English written and oral
Expertise in Microsoft Office Excel
