Job Description
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Business Continuity and Resilience (BCR) Program for the Enterprise to ensure it is fit-for-purpose and complies with UAE law as well as national and international standards for business continuity, organizational resilience, incident and crisis management.
Business Continuity and Resilience Program Development
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Conduct business continuity risk assessments to identify risks and their probability and impact, and define mitigation plan to minise the risk to the business and its business continuity capability.
Contribute in developing the business continuity program strategy for alternate worksites, recovery locations, recovery requirements and remote working to meet business requirements.
Develop ways to enhance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Business Continuity and Resilience Program, including but not limited to development and update of the:
Deliverables, outputs, activities, services and functions.
Process for ensuring sustainability of the program.
Tracking of legislative, regulatory and contractual requirements for the program.
Execute an annual program (and Adhoc as required) of Business Impact Analyses to ensure current understanding of business requirements for recovery and continuity focusing on processes.
Business Continuity and Resilience Program Documentation
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Assist the Head of Business Continuity and Resilience and direct reports to develop documents to implement the Business Continuity and Resilience Program.
Verify that the necessary documentation is in place in support of the program. This includes manuals, plans, procedures, job aids, test and exercise plans.
Coordinate with the ‘Document Management System’ team to transition developed documents into approved ‘live’ documents.
Revise and update incident and crisis management, and Business Continuity manuals, plans, procedures and job aids and upload updated document into Document Control and Records Management System (DCRMS) to ensure they reflect the enterprise approach to business continuity and continue to meet legal requirements and local and international standards.
Business Continuity and Resilience Team Activiation and Training
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Assist in the delivery and set up of equipment and supplies for alternate sites, incident and crisis management centers to deliver the supporting requirements for the business continuity capability.
Assist in the development, maintenance and delivery of business continuity training to functional teams to develop business awareness and education in the enterprise business continuity capability and requirements from functional teams.
Assist in the development and delivery of business continuity exercises and tests, including tests of systems and technology used in Business Continuity and Crisis Management Plan implementation to validate the business continuity capability and ensure business requirements can be met.
Contribute to the Business Continuity and Resilience Teams support of the Emergency Preparedness, Security, Health and Safety and Emergency teams during preparedness, response and recovery.
Update risks in the risk management system with input from Business Continuity, Incident Management and Crisis Management exercises, training, and actual events to ensure the risks reflect the most up-to-date assessments.
Support Business Continuity and Resilience teams in events when the Business Continuity Plan(s), Business Continuity Team(s), Alternate Worksite(s), Crisis Management Team(s) and Center(s) are activated to ensure the business can respond effectively to an incident.
Assist the Head of Business Continuity and Resilience and direct reports in sharing knowledge of professional practices for business continuity and resilience across the Enterprise and implementing these professional practices within the Business Continuity and Resilience Program.
Assess and verify the use of best practices from Business Continuity, disaster recovery, emergency and Crisis Management guidance (statutory and non-statutory) including but not limited to:
AE/SNSC/NCEMA 7000:2015, Business Continuity Management Standard Specifications.
ISO 22301:2012, Societal security — Business continuity management system — Requirements.
ISO 22313:2012, Societal security — Business continuity management system — Guidance.
AE/SNSC/NCEMA 7001: Business Continuity Management – Guidance.
AE/SNSC/NCEMA : BC Readiness Guidelines for Organizations in the event of Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).

Program Assessment, Audit and Benchmarking

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Assist in Business Continuity and Resilience program peer review / benchmarking with other entities and assess the outputs to ensure the appropriate actions are included in the continuous improvement system for the relevant business function to action.
Assess that Business Continuity and Resilience plans are aligned with requirements in the laws, standards and regulations of the United Arab Emirates as well as regulatory authorities.
Participating in Quality Assurance (QA), internal and external audits and/ or assessments of the Business Continuity and Resilience Program to ensure progress is reflected in any QA, internal or external audit report.
Health and Safety and Security
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Follow all relevant company’s Health and Safety policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure compliance in all aspects of work as per sound management practices. Apply these policies and procedures to self and others to ensure reasonable care of the health and safety of the employee; the environment; and various individuals who may be affected by the employee’s acts or omissions at work.
Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission critical activities.

Skills
Bachelor Degree in Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, or Communication.
3 years of relevant experience.
