You will be working as a Cluster Information System Application Manager and Compliance Officer and will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Information Systems Division based in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be reporting to Cluster Information System Manager and will be responsible for performing as an enabler to fulfill the application demands of business divisions and functions operating in UAE and other cluster countries and supporting maintenance of the applications in use. You will also be performing Information System security liaison and compliance activities for cluster countries in order to stay compliant with global Information system compliance guidelines all the time.
Your responsibilities
Application Development: Understanding demand for Non-ERP applications from key users/stake holders Business Divisions and assisting in preparing blueprint document for new initiatives or projects. Planning the cost in IS budget for the year. Evaluating alternative options to deliver the business applications. Identifying the correct source for developing application (internal and third-party service providers). Following ABB gate model for project development and delivery within the approved cost. Securing post go-live support process and user training and awareness.
Application Maintenance: Ensuring proper handover of project deliverables to maintenance mode. Taking decision on the best possible options for application run activities (internal vs. third-party suppliers). Establishing SLA and periodic governance meeting. Implementing proper support tool for handling incidents or problems or changes to application. Planning maintenance cost in the annual budgeting process. Acting on user feedback and user satisfaction results to improve service levels. Maintaining application repository tools to reflect the current operations being carried out are properly reflected in the tool and the repository is periodically reviewed and updated.
Compliance: Following ABB Compliance rules for infrastructure and applications to be maintained under the country scope. Maintaining GRCM ( Group Risk & Control Management) tool quality and ensure proper review and adherence. Establishing strong governance over supporting tools to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Working closely with stakeholders on compliance matters in Information systems. Conducting periodic reviews, walk-through process and compliance confirmation as per internal control methodology. Conducting periodic local review of controls with all personnel in Information system organization. Liaising with internal and external auditors to provide evidence for compliance to Information system control procedures. Maintaining proper documentation to support compliance practices in the organization. Working on deviations if any within the time frame to adhere to the global guidelines and timelines. Securing compliance process from other organizations directly or indirectly influencing GRC (Group Risk & Control) standards in the country.
License Administration: Acting as a single point of contact for all global and local software licenses for business users. Monitoring usage of license to make sure that only authorized users are utilizing the global licenses. Requesting for licenses and apply for cancellation of global licenses based on the needs in business. Budgeting for software license cost for the country users. Maintaining the data quality in the license tool. Advising on procurement of local licenses not covered in global framework including the process of renewal wherever applicable

Your background
A Bachelors’ or master’s degree in computer engineering or Information technology (software background).
Minimum of 3-8 years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing organizations.
Requires good knowledge Non-ERP platform options like .Net, Java etc in order to deliver the distinct applications in the best possible way in agile mode wherever possible.
Candidate should have ability to understand, translating business demands into non-ERP applications whenever required.
Experience in optimizing business processes with core business leaders in a matured IT set up along with hands on experience in application domain.
Experience in working in SAP environment preferred.
Team building and team management skills.
