The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Communications Specialist in the Marketing and Public Relations Department. Reporting to the Communications Section Head, must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Marketing and Public Relations Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will contribute to projects and activities related to media and corporate publications (including social media) and to maintain effective communication with stakeholders in order to raise the profile of CNA-Q regionally and internationally in the higher education sector.
Candidates should have an outstanding record of industry experience in marketing or related field, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Communications Specialist. The successful candidate is responsible to review and update CNA-Q’s website and social media pages to ensure the information provided is compliant with the College’s communication guidelines and contribute to accurate distribution of CNA-Q news, publications and information.
Responsibilities also include to support the writing, distribution and marketing of promotional materials and press releases and facilitate responses to media requests for interviews, photos and other information. The Communications Specialist will monitor external news reports and escalate complex issues to the Communications Section Head. The candidate will provide support in the media training of Departments and will assist in the research and writing of speaking notes as required.
Candidates will arrange and coordinate media initiative, organize promotional photoshoots and take part in photography duties to enhance awareness of key programs and events.

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications required
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Communications, or related field
Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language

Other Required Skills:
Enthusiastic and ambitious team player with exceptional writing and public speaking skills. Proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. The ability to think analytically and solve problems is required. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation is required. Knowledge of Communications, PR, Planning and Execution is required. Knowledge of Media Relations Management is required. A Commitment to ongoing training and continuous professional development is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English language is required, Arabic language is an asset.
