The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Continuing and Professional Education Academic Manager. Reporting to the Vice-President, Academic, the Continuing and Professional Education Academic Manager must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to provide leadership in all the continuing education and professional education affairs of the college and fully implement the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will lead the development of a strategy and plan that ensures the success of the department of Continuing and Professional Education and manages its performance in line with the plan and set objectives. This also includes developing and managing the delivery of relevant, value-added, and innovative training and development solutions to the community, industry, government, and other organizations to support the State of Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and become a significant, sustainable, and revenue- generating lifelong learning center for CNA-Q.
The successful candidate will support the VP Academic in the formulation of CNA-Q’s strategy.
The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of the Continuing and Professional Education department’s business plan strategy through departmental initiatives, projects, and activities to achieve self-sustainability and generate revenue. This will include developing and monitoring the annual budget of the Continuing and Professional Education department in conjunction with the VP, Academic.

The successful candidate should have an outstanding record of industry experience in continuing and professional education and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Continuing and Professional Education Academic Manager.
The successful candidate will manage all training provision by working collaboratively with all Schools and the Registrar’s office to develop courses that are comprehensive, relevant, and tailored to existing and new client needs. The candidate will also establish, develop, and expand positive partnerships with external stakeholders, emphasise the potential for CNA-Q to deliver valuable training and development interventions, and lead business development and research activities to understand the market and future training needs to ensure the Continuing and Professional Education department activities are competitive in the current market and that long-term corporate training needs are included in the strategic planning of the department.
The successful candidate will liaise with Schools, Program Development, and the Academic Quality department to identify new training opportunities, develop curriculum, and ensure quality program delivery that meets education and training needs in Qatar. This also includes liaising with functional areas to facilitate the set up of new logistical requirements for courses and events such as student registration, fee payment, space requirements, and IT resources.
The successful candidate will Contribute in the policy development initiatives for Continuing Professional Education in conjunction with the VP, Academic, and manage the development and monitor implementation of procedures, processes, and guidelines governing the Continuing Professional Education Department.

The successful candidate will oversee the administration of departmental activities to provide all clients with efficient and professional services, produce annual and ad hoc department reports to contribute to the departmental plan review, and monitor the performance of Continuing Professional Education department vis-à-vis established KPIs on a regular basis.
The successful candidate will develop the Continuing Professional Education department by motivating team members to respond positively and creatively to the ongoing training and developmental challenges and needs in Qatar by providing professional development support and periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of workforce plans for the Continuing Professional Education department in collaboration with Human Resources and the VP, Academic.

Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized, accredited institution preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience.
2 Years’ Managerial experience
Language:
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is required.
Fluency in written and spoken English language is required.

Other Required Skills:
Highly motivated and innovative individual with an outstanding track record of leadership and management in a post-secondary institution. Demonstrated experience in Academic and Continuing and Professional best practices. Strong leadership skills with a desire to achieve organizational success and to lead by example is required. Effective Strategic Planning is required. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. The candidate should have the ability to anticipate change and effectively manage quality and risk at all times. Effective resource management is essential. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation is required. A commitment to ongoing training and continuous professional development is desirable. The candidate should be competent in curriculum planning, teaching performance evaluation, and possess an in-depth understanding of pedagogy.
