About the Role
GEMS Education is looking for a Contracts Specialist who will manage the procurement of contracts for the GEMS MENASA group. Ensure all assigned contracts are managed and executed timely and in compliance with GEMS procurement’s policies. The role operates with autonomy within the context of the assigned work plan. The role is accountable for the delivery of assigned work with quality, accuracy, and integrity.
Key Accountabilities:
Review contract terms and conditions to ensure they are precise and compliant with company policies.
Ensure all assigned contracts are appropriately documented and stored systematically.
Coordinate and establish a good working relationship with Procurement Category and Sourcing Managers to build strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve customer satisfaction.
Implement procurement procedures; deliver procurement strategies (including contract management plans).
If required, provide advice to stakeholders and the procurement team on ambiguities of terms; scope of works; interpretation, and discrepancies between documents.
Review and amend contract summary sheet if required before closing out contracts.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
MBA with LLB, MRICS, or MCICES is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years experience within a large organization in contract admin and management.
Must be result oriented, and a strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of contract principles and procedures.
Self-monitor progress according to the schedule of completion and possess the flexibility to adapt to last-minute changing of priorities to suit business needs.
Excellent verbal and written command of the English language (Arabic desirable but not mandatory).
