Overview
We are seeking an Instrument Engineer to join the Safanyah & Manifa Increment Project department .
The Instrument and Control Systems Engineer primary role is to ensure proper design, installation and safety of process measurement instruments and control systems by applying technical discipline knowledge in company wide projects.
Key Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following tasks and responsibilities:
Handling instrumentations design, technical evaluation, review of vendor documents, loop check and commissioning.
Working on the Process Control Systems design including engineering, factory testing, site testing and performance testing.
Ensuring safe design, installation and compliance with both company and international standards.
Managing projects taking into account the cost and time constraints.
Collaboration with multi discipline Engineers in projects, operation, design, contractors and vendors.
Perform coordination, execution, site visits and progress evaluation against project schedule.
Meetings with consultants, contractors, designer and operation while providing consultancy and advises to resolve technical issues during project executions.
Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering degree from a recognized and approved program.
You will have more than ten years of experience in Instrumentation and Control Systems design, including at least five years of Oil and Gas field experience.
You must have excellent communication skills while working in collaboration with multi discipline Engineers in projects, operation, design, contractors and vendors. It is also necessary that you can perform data analysis, critical thinking and problem solving when providing technical solutions and for solving projects related issues.
You should be able to demonstrate technical knowledge with multiple plant control systems used in oil and gas facilities including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and programmable logic controllers (PLC). You will also have the ability to demonstrate knowledge of multiple types of field process measurement and safety instruments. It is also preferred that you have the technical knowledge in telecommunication systems and industry best practices for plants cyber security protection.
