Job Description
Documentation
Receive, review, process and prepare all export related documentation, ensuring that details are correct and compliant with customs requirements: bill of lading, air waybill, manifest, barcode etc.
Prepare work order for shipment pickup
Prepare shipping application
Prepare and send Proof of Delivery (POD) to each client
Prepare and send pre-alert to overseas offices with accurate shipping details
Prepare other relevant customs documentation
Update file records through integrated in-house networking software “POLEP”
Prepare necessary chequeens
Prepare costing of job file and handover to billing department
Logistics
Assist in planning the best possible route for transporting goods overseas
Book vessel/make flight/land transportation arrangements that meet customer’s requested estimated time of arrival.
Alert overseas partners and customers with shipping details
Coordinate any necessary surface transportation for pickup and delivery
Obtain empty container from shipping line
Arrange for containerization at warehouse or shipping yard-warehouse
Ensure appropriate security management during transportation of goods
Coordinate with customs broker regarding clearance
Coordinate job schedules with warehouse

Customer Service

Respond to customer inquiries
Prepare and submit quotations to prospective clients
Advise customer on required documents
Maintain contact with shipper and consignee till arrival of shipment at destination airport.
Submit any insurance claims to insurance company and follow up with both insurance company and claimer.
Punctual follow up of all inquires
Maintain, grow, and build long term relationships with customers via personal visits, phone calls, emails and job quality follow up
