To provide technical supervision and support to ensure the effective establishment and implementation of assigned engineering programs through managing assigned engineering resources. Scope of engineering programs include primarily but are not limited to programs related to the active component surveillance and periodic test and inspection for support programmatic activities e.g. In-Service Testing (IST), Snubber Inspection, Motor Operated Valve (MOV), Air Operated Valve (AOV), Equipment Qualification (EQ), and GL 89-13 Heat Exchanger Management Program.
-Supervise Engineering Program Development
Supervise engineering resources for assigned programs (IST, SnubberI, AOV, MOVFAC, BAC, NDE EQ with GL 89-13 Heat Exchanger Management to ensure that programs are established to support operational milestones and high levels of safe and reliable plant operations are maintained.
Provide technical support to assigned engineering program resources to ensure that programs are ready for implementation.
Ensure the development of engineering, operational, testing, inspection, and maintenance actions required to support engineering program development as applicable.
Lead the development of policies, processes, procedures, arrangements, and activities to support assigned engineering programs at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP).
Ensure the development of engineering programs is sufficiently robust to ensure reliability and availability of components’ required safety functions throughout the service life of BNPP, in accordance with the licensing requirements.
Ensure the review and adjustment of program documents based on the reference plant or industry best practices as appropriate.
-Engineering Program Implementation Support
Provide technical assistance to engineering personnel (Site and Plant) to ensure the successful implementation of assigned engineering programs.
Ensure that engineering resources are adequately planned and coordinated with plant personnel to successfully execute assigned engineering programs.
Ensure that engineering program owners develop and maintain applicable program-related training material to ensure appropriate technical awareness and knowledge base across the organization.
-Specific Engineering Support
Ensure that engineering resources provide the required assistance to Plant and Engineering Programs personnel related to requirements for Final Safety Analysis Report and Non-Destructive Examination and Metallurgy in the form of NDE procedure development and review, metallurgical queries, component failures investigations, and root cause analysis including review of plant design change proposals, 3rd party NDE vendor procedures, etc.
Lead assigned engineering resources to ensure that responses to plant metallurgical related queries and NDE support are provided timeously and prompt.
Ensure the provision of support as required for the development of aging program mitigations related to Metallurgy or NDE support.
-Support to Licensing
Ensure the prompt response and provision of program-related information as appropriate when requested by Licensing to support regulatory requests.
Respond to FANR Requests for Additional Information (RAI) when required in a prompt manner.
-Health and Safety and Security
Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Division/Department/Section by delivery of the Health and Safety Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.

Academic Qualifications and Experience
Baccalaureate or Associate’s (or equivalent) degree in engineering or related science.
Professional or Chartered Engineer or equivalent
4 years related experience, of which 1 year is nuclear power plant experience and 1 year supervisory or management experience.
Specialized Nuclear Engineering University Course or equivalent at postgraduate level
4 years related experience
Good understanding of nuclear power plant design and maintenance.
Broad-based knowledge related to engineering programs at nuclear power plants.
Experience and understanding of aging-related degradation mechanisms that affect PWR plants.
Understanding of nuclear license basis requirements.
Understands the responsibilities with regard to the maintenance of the design basis and engineering programs.
