Overview
We are seeking an Industrial Control System Engineer to join our Power Systems Engineering Department (PSED) working under our Smart Grid and Automation Unit (GS&AU).
PSED is responsible for providing and managing highly technical and specialized engineering services to support the safe and reliable operation of Saudi Aramco electrical power system generation, transmission and distribution networks.
SG&AU engineers provide the technical support with regards to designs, standards, commission, investigations, etc. in regards of power system automation, smart grid technology and cyber security field ensuring safe and reliable Power Supply.
Your primary role will be to perform the required full range of cybersecurity control and protection of power systems facilities. You will develop the required Operation Instruction Manuals, Cyber Security Implementation Process, and Cyber Security Hardening Procedures based on Saudi Aramco Cyber Security instructions, Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards, Saudi Aramco Engineering Procedures, Saudi Aramco Saudi Aramco Engineering Best Practice and Saudi Arabia National Cyber Security Authority.

Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following;
Create tailored, multidisciplinary, and comprehensive technical procedures for the implementation of all the mandated cyber security controls.
Develop multi-faceted cyber security reports, investigate cyber security incident and implement our power system cyber security disaster recovery plan/procedure.
Develop Cyber Risk Assessments to identify power systems cyber security gaps and impact analysis.
Demonstrate the ability to illustrate engineering drawings and the implementation of all the cyber security controls, requirements and standards in the field and train and advise Plant Area Network Administrators.
Ensure all corporate cyber security standards, policies, guidelines are effectively implemented.
Work with Process & Control Systems Dept (P&CSD), Consulting Services Department / Power System & Automation Group (CSD), Chief Information Security Office (CISO).
Act as a technical advisor and consultant role to support Power Operations Dept / SCADA Automation System Maintenance Unit (SASMU) on a daily basis, rigorously addressing diurnal & emergencies during field cyber security implementation issues and challenges.
Verify and approve all Cyber Security Operational Technologies to be used and integrated with Power Systems Automation Systems.
Test, verify and approve all firmware, software and all related cyber security patches and updates.
Be the first responder and represent power systems during potential cyber security attacks, investigation of malicious malware, cyber security incidents and be able to restore power systems back to normal.

Minimum Requirements
You must have a Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferably specializing in systems, computer science or in electrical engineering.
You should have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in process control systems and network security within the Oil and Gas Industry or a closely related process industry.
Hands on experience with plant network components, their operation and appropriate network security controls and methods is essential.
You should also have previous experience handling security related threats and vulnerabilities.
An understanding of cybersecurity authentication, authorization and access control methods and knowledge of cybersecurity defense and vulnerability assessment tools and their capabilities is also required.
Hands on experiences developing best practices for incident response and incident management would be preferred.
