Last Mile Innovation Associate – Economics (Business Analyst) – Aramex , UAE

Purpose of the Job:
To plan for year round operations by gathering and understanding data from internal systems and reports whilst turning it into actionable information. Co-ordinate with teams to build pricing models that allow for high performance whilst minimizing cost. Conduct market research for new regions and modalities and collaborate with performance and optimization teams to drive cost reduction.

Job Responsibilities:
Monitor reports to identify areas of improvement and track performance.
Manage and design report template guidelines.
Collaborate with various departments to create and maintain pricing structures across all active regions and modalities.
Conduct market research to support pricing activities.
Lead cost reduction efforts that are in line with management targets.
Compile and consolidate data from all regions to provide management with data driven insights and action plans.
Turn data driven insights from ongoing reports into actionable items.
Evaluating changes, updates and assisting with strategic suggestions on new systems.
Engage in activity based costing activites to drive decision making.
Collaborate with the Optimization team by providing insights into economics to drive cost reduction efforts.
Derive and track multiple metrics that focus team efforts on cost reduction.
Collaborate with the Performance teams to ensure that pricing is in line with performance metrics.
Liaise with performance teams to ensure that pricing structures allow for performance targets to be met.
Perform regular maintenance and improvements on business intelligence dashboards.
Coordinate a team of Analysts and ensure KPIs are met.
Stay updated with latest technologies and innovations in the supply chain industry.
Support other functions in parallel with regular duties.

Job Requirements (Experience and education):
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent.
Expert in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of BI Systems is a plus (Tableau, Power BI, etc).
Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.
Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
Knowledge in data collection systems or a proven ability to apply new systems effectively.
Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently.
