In this role, you will be responsible for identifying business automation opportunities, translating them in to system requirements and working closely with the software engineering team to develop new Data products and Analytics solutions for the Qatar Airways Commercial team. You will be partnering with business department heads and key users to identify technology enabled business outcomes, prioritize, and deliver them working closely with product owners, digital delivery leads, software engineering leads, and external suppliers as appropriate.
In this role, you will contribute to shaping the implementation by bringing in your broad experience in the data domain to identify use cases and translate them from high level business requirements into technical requirements that can be implemented on the Qatar airways Data Lake platform. You will help to further enrich and improve the functionality of the Data products and advise the organization in becoming a Data as a Service organization. You will assist the product owner/s to identify PBI/User Stories in order to bring new and improved functionality to the Data platform. You will be a key member of the POD/Tribe where you will collaborate on a regular basis with the Product Owner and the development team to lead the Product Roadmap together with the Product Owner and Product Manager

About the Person:
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will be front-ending the conversations with Product Owners in the Revenue management and other commercial business departments, to understand opportunities, and to translate them in to projects with specific business outcomes. You will be part of the Qatar Airways IT Department, and will work closely with the application development teams & data engineering teams, to develop, test and implement business automation solutions and Data products. You must have excellent knowledge about airline data domains, which includes Reservation (Booking/Ticketing), Customer (Loyalty), Pricing, Market share so on and so forth. You must also have keen interest to learn about new industry initiatives and how technology can effectively be used to help improve business operations and customer experience.

Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree with minimum 7 years of job related experience.
Certifications on Business Analysis from industry recognized institutions will be preferred
Excellent knowledge of Airline Data domains such as Reservation (Booking/Ticketing), Customer (Loyalty), Pricing, Market share and operations.
Knowledge of Airline Reservation systems, GDS and PSS.
Ability to work closely with business users, in a multi-cultural environment, organize automation requirements, design thinking workshops, assist in translating business needs to automated solutions
Hands-on experience in business requirements documentation, including functional specifications, interface specifications, UI prototypes
Hands-on experience in business requirements documentation for data & analytics requirement.
Hands on experience in testing management, including test planning, test scenarios, test cases, test data, defect lifecycle management etc
Certification in Agile methodologies like PSPO, CSPO etc., or CBAP are preferred
Excellent communication (written, verbal) and presentation skills.
Establish the departments or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
