Lead Business Finance Officer- Operations – Qatar Airways , Qatar

About Role
You will be working for Business Finance with key objective of adding value to the QR Group. You will be responsible for providing financial analysis for optimal allocation of resources and reviewing cost. A key part of this role will be providing guidance to the Flight Ops department on the accounting policies and financial support

Your Responsibilities
Develop financial models and conduct analysis using a broad range of quantitative tools and techniques.
Analyze and report actual revenues and costs; prepare root-cause variance analyses reporting to management on periodic basis (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
Identify and develop process improvements in conjunction with finance stakeholders and/or business.
Conduct ad hoc revenue and cost analysis for senior management.
Identify and develop in conjunction with business KPI’s and report them on a regular basis.
Ensure Flight Ops financial accounting reporting is in sync with corporate / finance definitions and reports.
Ensure profitability reporting is coordinated with corporate / finance definitions and reports.
Optimize financial accounting and management reporting.
Review annual budget submissions in-line with key management strategies/targets.
Control spend to ensure sale targets are achieved and recommend measures.
Review business case proposal generating incremental revenues or cost reduction, including CMC submissions.
Review contracts/agreements for financial compliance.
Support management during month closings and budgeting process.
Support management with day to day financial issues / policies / processes.
Conduct ad hoc revenue and cost analysis for senior management and other analyses as required.
A Lead BFO should support an internal department, act as a “single point of entry” between business and finance.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor’s level
Minimum 5 years relevant experience
Experience as a financial analyst preferably in the airline industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels in the organization
Excellent command of English language
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Self-starter and able to work remote with independence and minimum supervisory guidance
Flexible/adaptable to constant change and scheduling needs to meet deadlines
Innovative thinking ability with high degree of motivation and problem solving skills required
Able to add value to internal customer
Strong analytical skills and eye for detail
