Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Officer- External Communication for our trusted client in Aviation industry to be based out of their headquarters in Dubai.

Job Purpose-
The purpose of this job is to support the development and delivery of high quality English communication that support external communication strategies, projects and programmes that establish, reinforce and defend the reputation of Organization in line with the overall Corporate Communication strategy.

Job Accountabilities-
In close coordination with Manager External Communication, create compelling editorial content in English primarily for mainstream media, while also developing material related to briefing documents, fact sheets, Q&As, press releases, advertisements, stakeholder publications, forewords, PAs and signages.
Conduct online monitoring and analysis of media (globally and in strategic markets) and produce regular news summaries and monthly analytical reports illuminating trends and recommending actions. Manage the newsroom on Company’s website.
Support communications management team in providing materials, facts, figures, images and other material in timely response to queries or proactively as instructed to help build strong relationships with media outlets, analysts, service partners and help generate positive media coverage and mitigate potentially negative coverage.
Work with DFTC, internal departments and production companies/agencies to evaluate, coordinate, facilitate access and monitor any/all filming/photography by external agencies to protect and bolster Company’s reputation
Support/coordinate online and general media campaigns, press conferences & events, stakeholder campaigns and events in coordination with communication management team colleagues.

Professional Qualifications/Regulatory/Certification Requirements/Knowledge:
Good written and spoken English.
Knowledge of Arabic would be an added advantage.
Should understand media, social media, how they work and what journalists and influencers require.
A good knowledge and understanding of the aviation industry and its general environment.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Demonstrated event management skills e.g. press conferences, product roll-outs etc.
Industry Experience
As journalist in the media and/or Public Relations experience in a large company, agency or publishing house.
Core Activities Experience
English writing including for press releases (B2B, B2C, B2G), speeches, social media posts, and internal communication.
Organizing interviews and press conferences, pitching stories to media, managing routine media queries.

Skills, Tools and Systems Experience:
Working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications such as MS Word and MS Excel as well as familiarity with common platforms used for media monitoring and analysis/reporting tools.

Advanced: Influence using logic and facts and have considerable impact of on achievement of job objectives
