Plant Information Specialist – Contract Hire – Nawah Energy Company , UAE

Job purpose:
In order to enhance and maximize the use of real time data tools withing the company, Nawah is looking for an experienced Plant Information Engineer. He will provide technology leadership, and support to meet the growing demand around Nawah operational real-time data and analytics. The Data & Analytics Lead is responsible for developing, implementing and supporting Asset framework Analytics and visualization using Nawah client tools. They provide expertise in the integration, reporting, structuring, mining, and securing of data for the Enterprise. They provide operational data analytics on complex datasets with a variety of tools. They provide expertise on data analytics and business intelligence, advancing analytic standards across the Enterprise.

Key Activities and Responsibilities: –
PI Software Support and Maintenance
Responsible for maintaining the realtime data platform including the interface servers with our EDS OPC tools, including Archive, Asset Framework and WebAPI infrastructure.
Responsible for realtime datat system upgrade, tools availability and patching.
Responsible for the interaction with supplier to create, follow and software renewal and budgeting.
Responsible for interacting with our contractors team in charge of the infrastructure and related systems.
Business Partner Collaboration
Establish and maintain liaison relationship with business partner in order to provide effective technical solutions.
Coordinate with business partner within one or more departments to align technology solutions with business strategies.
Seek opportunities to improve and deepen relationship between Nawah Operation technology & Business partners that leads to process innovation opportunity.
Designs & Solution
Work closely with the interface development and IT Architecture department.
Design high quality business application solutions by identifying and evaluating options.
Prepare functional specifications.
Resolve solution issues.
Lead development and communicate business requirements for the design and implementation of business solutions.
Support one or more highly complex business processes, requiring design or integration of technical solutions that may cross multiple functions of the business.
Serve as a technical lead and as a bridge between the business and the project team.
provides recommendations for business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
Investigates problems and develops recommendations for resolution. Identifies need for technical assistance to help in problem resolution
Create and deliver related user documentation and end-user training.
Client Engagement
Lead the assessment of client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to prioritize immediate business needs and recommends options, risks, and cost vs. benefits.
Analyses client operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities for improvements.
Engage with clients and keep them up to date on problems, issues, and resolutions.
Monitor and analyzing performance metrics to ensure client satisfaction.
Planning
Conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements.
Lead and provide direction for short- and long-term planning sessions to ensure understanding of business goals and direction.
Provide input from a business and information technology perspective.
Business Case
Conduct feasibility studies and draft proposals for evaluation by appropriate users and managers.
Participate on developing business case over the business new requirement and changes.
Testing
Develop user test cases and system integration testing and validate test results during testing.
Review test plans and executes test cases to ensure systems and applications working as per the designed
Monitor testing process to ensure that business results are achieved adequately with minimal risk.
Ensure test strategies involve appropriate integration and process components.

Skills
Qualifications and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field,
5 years of experience equivalent to the position.
5 years of dealing with Plant real data experience implementing, maintaining and supporting the solution
Technical Competency

Knowledge in business operations and systems requirements processes.
Strong Understanding of Project Management.
User experience analysis & evaluation
Knowledge in systems design, Integration, testing, release and deployment.
Strong Understanding of Applications Support.
Scripting Experience
Database query experience
