Risk and Business Continuity Senior Manager – Aramex , UAE

Purpose of the Job:
The position holder will play an integral and essential role in Aramex’s Corporate Governance network by rolling out and embedding the Risk Management activities across the Aramex Network to ensure that Aramex is a ‘Risk Aware’ organization.
This role will require significant engagement and interaction with the Executive Leadership Team as well as with Country and Station Managers on an ongoing basis to ensure all key risks are being assessed and managed in an adequate manner.

Job Responsibilities:
Risk Management Roll Out
• Facilitate the roll out of the Risk Management Program – Framework and Policy – across the Aramex Group
• Conduct Periodic Departmental Risk Assessments in collaboration with Risk Director to identify the key risks along with the mitigation plan
• Assist Risk Director in the development and formulation of risk decks for the Management Risk Committee and Audit Committee including updates to the Top Risk Dashboards on a periodic basis
• Establish a Risk Champion Network across the Aramex Corporate and Regional Network to help identify, analyze and monitor risk mitigation plans.
• Lead the Country Risk Assessments across the Aramex Footprint to develop Country Risk Profiles
• Remain informed of the changes that occur within the macro and micro environment impacting Aramex and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies
• Review and update the organizational Risk Appetite to ensure key business processes are adequately aligned and escalated to the appropriate levels in case of any breaches
GRC Platform
• Lead the implementation and roll out of the GRC Platform across the Aramex Network.
• Train the Departmental and Regional Risk Champions on the functionality of the GRC Platform
• Ongoing engagement with the Risk Champions to ensure all risk information is accurate and periodically updated on the platform.
Business Continuity
• Assist the Business Continuity Team in the periodic Business Continuity Assessments for key stations across the Aramex footprint. This would include conducting Business Impact Analysis.
• Creating high level BCM reports for the Aramex Leadership Team to highlight key BCM related risks
Contract Management & Other Tasks
• Work closely with the Corporate Legal and Commercial teams to review commercial contracts to identify key contract related risks
• Conduct detailed Strategic Risk Assessments on key projects for Aramex.
• Collaborate with other sections within the Risk and Compliance team including Health & Safety, Corporate and Trade Compliance and Insurance.

Job Requirements (Experience and Education):
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other relevant fields
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or similar fields would be a plus
• Thorough knowledge of Risk Management standards such as ISO 31000
• Thorough knowledge of Business Continuity standards and the ability to independently conduct Business Continuity Assessments
• At least 10 years of managerial experience leading a team of risk management professionals
