Job Description
Role Purpose
To promote the prevention of injuries to personnel, damage to facilities, materials and equipment in order to achieve a safe and healthy working environment within the Companies areas of operations and activities.

DUTIES PREFORMED
Operations
Conduct JSA, Tool Box Talks and has knowledge in understanding Safety Inspections, Checklists and Work Permit Systems.
Write Reports.
Implement Health, Safety & Environmental Program.
Impart training to construction staff.
Prepare Hazard Identification Plan/Activity Hazard Analysis.
Implement safety matters for Building & Civils and Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Projects.
Create awareness of safety among the construction staff and workforce.
Identify, evaluate and control safety, health, and environmental hazards.
Conduct daily safety inspections and monitor safety performance.
Prepare and implement procedures and plans. Example; excavation, confined space entry, working at height, fire protection, medical services, emergency, evacuation, etc.
Compile accident statistics.
Implementation of the use of personal protective safety equipment (PPE) within the workforce.
Investigate incidents/accidents and take remedial measures to avoid recurrences.
Attend project safety meetings and present reports.
Monitor and modify safety techniques to achieve zero injuries, zero accidents, and zero accidents.
Inspect the work site daily and correct unsafe methods and conditions.
Keep a record daily and report to the Safety Manager / Supervisor when necessary.
Carry out site surveys and inspections to see that only safe work methods are in operation, health and safety requirements are being observed.
Welfare and first aid facilities are adequate and properly maintained.
Determine the cause of any accidental occurrence and recommend measures to prevent recurrences.
Suggest ways to prevent injury to personnel, damage to site facility or equipment, and fires.
Implement Safety procedures.
Stop works in the event of unsafe acts or conditions.
Conduct regular Risk Assessments for tasks.
Provide guidance and mentoring to workforce and staff in regards to Safe Work practices and requirements.
Attend and pass Client interviews.
Continually improve personal knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environmental issues.
Coordinate with project personnel as directed by the Safety Manager.
Report Safety issues through the established project communication protocol.
Inspection of Camp accommodation as directed by Supervision.

Policies, Processes, and Procedures
Follow all relevant department’s policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement
Promote the implementation and adherence to policies, processes, and operating procedures to others within Nesma and Partners
Safety, Health, and Environment
Comply with all relevant safety, health, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
Participate in incident and accident investigations as required in line with agreed safety, health, and environment policies, procedures, and controls
Report on changes within Nesma and Partners that impact relevant safety, health, and environment all management policies, procedures, and controls
Skills
Health and Safety Certification: شهادة كوادر السلامة والصحة المهنية (محترف – ممارس)
Diploma or Bachelor degree in Safety or relevant field.
excellent spoken and written communication skills.
the ability to work well under pressure.
