Senior Engineering Program Engineer – Nawah Energy , Barakah, UAE

Job Description
Develop, implement and execute engineering programs as well as support governance, oversight, and control of these programs to provide for safe and reliable Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) operation.
Engineering Program Development

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Develop engineering programs in accordance with the regulatory requirements and licensing basis to support safe and reliable operation of BNPP.
Develop the engineering, operational, inspection, and maintenance actions that control, within acceptable design limits, the effects of physical degradation of components occurring over time or with use to optimize the length of service of the subject equipment.
Participate in developing long-term plans for engineering programs, as well as policies, processes, procedures, guidelines, arrangements, and activities subject equipment performance management or issues at BNPP to enable consistent execution of the programs.
Incorporate adjustments to engineering program documents and delivered procedures based on the reference plant or industry best practices as appropriate to verify that they meet BNPP objectives and specific unique conditions and ensure organizational excellence.
Develop software tools as required to support engineering programs and verify the input baseline data in the related database to ensure data security and governance.
Review the corresponding programs for the reference plant, Shin Kori Units 3&4, to ensure that they meet BNPP objectives and specific unique conditions.
Support the development of the engineering program’s procedures/guidelines as required to ensure that Maintenance and Operations personnel have references for how to executive the program correctly.
Engineering Program Implementation
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Provide technical expertise to support plant personnel in implementing the engineering program.
Provide support to plant personnel in gathering and communicating engineering program results to ensure accurate outcomes.
Implement new concepts and techniques to improve equipment reliability or compliance with changes in engineering codes and standards.
Engineering Program Execution
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Review the execution of the engineering program including monitoring equipment or material performance to verify that it is being executive properly.
Conduct regular assessments of the execution of the engineering program at the plants to identify areas for improvement.
Staff Training and Qualification
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Provide training feedback on program effectiveness with evaluation of operator performance to enhance training and qualification program quality.
Health and Safety and Security

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Follow all relevant company’s Health and Safety policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure compliance in all aspects of work as per sound management practices. Apply these policies and procedures to self and others to ensure reasonable care of the health and safety of the employee; the environment; and various individuals who may be affected by the employee’s acts or omissions at work.
Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission critical activities.

Skills
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma (or Equivalent) Degree in Engineering or related Science.
5 years of relevant experience, out of which:
1 year of Nuclear Power Plant engineering experience.
