Senior Market Research Executive – Al Jazeera , Qatar , Doha

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join Al Jazeera’s Research and Insights team. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience within a similar role at a media or broadcast organization.
The candidate must have robust analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets and have the ability to transform such data into easy to understand outputs and narratives. Candidates should be able to position the analyzed audience and market data into strategic elements for the various Channels, subsidiaries and departments within the Network.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyzing and reviewing all research instruments presented from the research house, including quantitative and qualitative research instruments (e.g. written or telephone survey instruments, questionnaires, focus groups, and interview scripts for 1-1 interviews).
Analyze research findings to see beyond numbers. Analysis may also include transcripts or analysis of viewership patterns and trends, in addition to opportunities to tap to other markets.
Preparing all written research reports and findings, and presenting these findings to the various Channels, subsidiaries and departments within the Network.
Finding answers to specific research questions that would lead to more effective, programing, news, distribution, marketing campaigns and strategies.
Develop audience profiles across covered markets and suggested profiles to target from the information gathered.
Writing MRs (briefs) that include all necessary information that meet channels’ research needs and that would assist research houses in providing comprehensive proposals.
Recommending appropriate research design and selecting appropriate research agency.
Ensuring proper methodology in all research projects, including overseeing all aspects of research design and implementation from inception to completion
Profiling of Network channels and their programs
Complete network market competitive analysis and suggested strategies.
Build media and market information by keeping up to date with trends and developments and sharing that information across the networks various channels.
The creation of a database system which will store, filter and provide analysis for all gathered data to be used in strategic decision making process along with a dashboard.
Studies of potential markets and market needs which Aljazeera may enter
Conducting audience measurement on our own digital platforms.

Key Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the qualitative and quantitative research field within a media or broadcast organization.
Communication in Arabic and English, other Languages is a benefit
