To execute processes and be the business partner for strategic planning for allocated Divisions, as well as lead and manage specific projects in this area. This will include annual planning process, quarterly reports and Semi-annual CEO review meetings.
Act as an SPD Business Partner to designated Divisions in all aspects related to Strategic Planning
Drive high customer satisfaction with the strategic planning processes of allocated divisions and explore areas where satisfaction can be enhanced
Provide effective support on the Annual Planning cycle, leading effort on assigned Divisions, to ensure process, tools and templates are communicated, understood and timelines met
Ensure high quality Business Plans are submitted by assigned Divisions, by providing value-add feedback during the Annual Planning process and throughout the year
Ensure Business Plans of assigned Divisions are appropriately uploaded into Corporater
Provide effective support on the Semi-annual performance cycle, leading effort on assigned Divisions, to ensure process, tools and templates are communicated, understood and timelines met
Ensure quality submission of CEO Semi-Annual presentations for assigned Divisions
Provide effective support on the Quarterly Report process, leading effort on assigned Divisions, to ensure process, tools and templates are communicated, understood and timelines met
Ensure high quality Quarterly reports are submitted to n-1s, by providing value-add feedback
Understand any significant performance gaps/issues in allocated Divisions and escalate to SPD management
Lead other allocated projects (e.g. QNDS, Annual Planning Process, Semi-annual performance cycle, Corporater), by proposing definition of process, gathering information, supporting implementation and codifying learnings and process
Provide assistance to broader SPD team, in the form of data gathering, analysis and strategy development as required
Maintain quality management processes and documentation for corporate performance processes for allocated Divisions and suggest improvements to performance monitoring processes based on customer feedback and business needs
Build Strategic and Annual Planning capabilities of Focal Points, through coaching or offering formal trainings
Ensure effective coordination between the planning and monitoring processes and seamless touchpoints for divisions. Support performance, monitoring & evaluation process on allocated divisions by jointly reviewing entities scorecards and performance reports with Performance & Evaluation Business Partners and providing relevant feedback on coherence of business plans in terms of initiatives and KPIs on each strategic objective
Suggest improvements to Strategic Planning processes based on customer feedback and business needs, and share best practices with other Business Partners
Develop and mentor junior SPD team members by providing on the job coaching and mentoring
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or with Masters Level Qualification, and 6-8 years of relevant full time work experience.
Must have a strong understanding of conceptual frameworks of corporate performance. Ideally, the candidate will have direct experience in Strategic Planning.
Should have overall work experience across a range of sectors including exposure to education, community/social development and research with strong emphasis on strategy, planning and monitoring & evaluation.
Must be very logical and structured in thinking and have excellent problem solving ability.
Must be able to facilitate discussion and have solid interpersonal skills – experience in facilitating discussion should be considerable.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
