Who are we ?
As a member of BACS consortium, we are responsible for the design and build of Lines 1 and 2 of the Riyadh Metro Project. RMP consists of 6 lines with a total length of 176 kilometers across the city and 85 stations the Riyadh Metro Project (RMP) is considered as of the world’s largest infrastructure projects being under construction in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Siemens as a part of a consortium (BACS) consisting of 4 companies is to supply the entire turnkey system for 2 driverless metro lines including metro trains, electrification, signaling, and communications systems.
Today we are looking to hire an Installation Site Engineer to join Siemens – Riyadh Metro Project who will report directly to the Site Manager.
What are my responsibilities ?
Manage existing systems that capture vital project data on project delivery and scheduled resource allocation, including provision of P6 data. Conduct continual evaluation of the outputs of these systems and implement corrective action as required.
Analyze information from project management systems to derive accurate reporting to a variety of sources (Project Director, Delivery Director, Joint Venture Consortium Management) on Project Delivery, schedule versus actual, key performance indicators (KPI’s) reporting, commitments and monthly reporting.
Coordinate the availability of critical project delivery information to management on projects by: interfacing between Siemens Lot Project Managers, Project Engineer’s, Planning/Estimating/Scheduling group incorporating the work breakdown structure and estimate information to monitor project delivery schedule (this includes coordinating between Siemens Project Managers); and coordinating the accurate and timely input of project delivery statistics to factually represent current project progress.
Coordinate / administer effective operation of the Installation section and promote awareness of and provide advice to employees and managers on a range of Project Delivery, administrative, project policies, procedures, instructions and relevant legislation to ensure that consistency and compliance is maintained.
Coordinate implementation of the Version Control process that facilitates the inclusion, removal or alteration of scope into the delivery (Installation) program. Registering the impacts of these changes on the P3 master schedule and reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
Prepare project documentation for the planning and scheduling of projects in consultation with Lot Project Managers/Engineer’s to facilitate compliance with Siemens policies and procedures and ensure that all project performance documentation is recorded and maintained in accordance with records management procedures for audit purposes.
Support the implementation of Siemens OHS policy and procedures to ensure compliance with OHS and Injury Management legislation and promote the development of a safe work culture.
Actively engage in fair and equitable workplace practices and behaviours to ensure a discrimination free workplace in accordance with legislative requirements.
Promote and implement Siemens environmental policy and procedures in order to minimize the impact of Siemens business on the environment.
What do I need to qualify for this job ?
Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive industry experience in Project Management /
People Management /Delivery Report or business related fields.
Has good understanding of HSE and Quality management principles.
Highly developed skills in the use of personal computers and computer software packages including Primavera (P6), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, Advanced competency in PowerPoint, Project, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
Highly developed skills in Advanced Microsoft Office versions and techniques.
Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and organizational skills.
Understanding of project management processes and of the computer based systems used to manage these systems.
Experience with Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management Essentials project management software.
Knowledge of records management principles and associated document control software packages.
Excellent Communication, Reporting, and Presentation skills
Excellent level of English
Team work mentality / Leadership skills
