Solution Architect-EMDAD Project – BAE Systems , Saudi Arabia

Main Responsibilities
Providing strategic and technical DC/Cloud direction for the RSAF.
Ongoing management of the RSAF datacentres as part of the RSAF team.
Understanding business and mission drivers for project initiatives.
Discussing and presenting architecture vision and transformation to an end state solution.
Alignment around common concepts, definitions and use cases.
Reviewing current architecture, design, technology choices, and operational procedures.
Understanding decision trade-offs and key risks based on industry “Best Practices”.
Capture and understanding of key requirements.
Takes lead role in working/planning with clients, technical teams and vendor resources in developing a Data Centre (DC) infrasnjcture strategy and the deployment of complex DC/Cloud architectures and services.
Performing problem analysis and acting as technical specialist for the complex DC/Cloud deployments.
Provides highest-level crisis management advice.
Business case and consolidation strategy development.
Production of transition roadmaps.
Migration planning.
Contributing to, leading, and creation of operational and strategy documents.
Contributes to, and participates in multiple groups, activities, engagements, and design workshops.
Training and mentoring of others.

Skills & Qualifications
A BSc or above, preferably in an IT subject
10+ years of experience within the IT arena.
At least 5 years’ experience in Tier 2 (or above) standard or equivalent data centre management.
Extensive in-depth experience in data centre transformation including requirements gathering and analysis.
Knowledge of the following standards would be beneficiate:
TIA-942
IS027000
ITIL
COBIT 5
He will also have Extensive IT knowledge around the following specialist areas:
Multi-Tenant Data Centre Solutions.
Public-Private-Hybrid.
Cloud Computing.
Next Generation Network Architecture Planning and Design Development.
Implementation and Migration Services.
Knowledge Transfer & Mentoring Development.
Data Centre Virtualisation.
Converged Infrastructure Concepts.
Rouüng / Switching.
He shall have both technical and theoretical knowledge of data centre infrastructure and operations architectures. This will include the following:
Construction and accessibility.
Environmental conditions.
Electrical power requirements.
Operational safety and security.
Physical security.
Upgrade planning.
Uptime Institute Data Centre Standards.
