Admissions and Registration Directorate invites applications for the position of Student Recruitment Specialist. Reporting to the Head, Admissions, the Student Recruitment Specialist must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Admissions and Registration Directorate in fully implementing the University’s mission and vision.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will support in the planning and implementation of student recruitment activities and initiatives, in order to develop and maintain relationships with secondary schools and other key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will provide accurate and timely information about UDST’s admission requirements, programs and student life to prospective students, school administrators, families and other influencers.
The incumbent of this position will liaise with the Sponsorship Specialist regarding sponsorship for prospective students, in order to provide accurate advice and information and liaise with school administrators to organize recruitment events for their students. He/she will also create, and maintain relationships with principals and counsellors at targeted schools.
The successful candidate will attend local and national recruitment events, and provide information and advice to prospective students. He/she will also assist in conducting student focus groups to gather information regarding the student recruitment experience and analyze findings to inform future recruitment activities.
The successful candidate will contribute to student recruitment information and expertise by participating in relevant UDST committees.
In addition, the successful candidate will manage and maintain data for student recruitment activities and report statistical trends related to student recruitment for input into UDST’s strategic recruitment plans.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
Minimum 5 years of Student Recruitment experience
Fluency in written and spoken English language is required
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is required
Other Required Skills:
Professional and friendly nature and a proactive attitude to work is required. Possessing good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively, is essential. The incumbent should also have analytical thinking and problem solving, along with the ability to demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English language is required and Arabic is required.
