The University of Doha for Science and Technology is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Supervisor, Digital Solutions in the Information Technology Directorate. Reporting to the Manager, Business Applications, the Supervisor, Digital Solutions must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Information Technology Directorate in fully implementing the university’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an experienced and enthusiastic individual who will manage the development of Digital Solutions vertical of IT Directorate, in alignment with UDST policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders, in order to identify UDST requirements and provide business-optimization solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
Candidates should have an outstanding record of experience in Digital Solutions, preferably in a senior level role in education sector, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Supervisor, Digital Solutions. The candidate will support the development of the Information Technology Directorate’s business plan in alignment with UDST’s strategy and work closely with the Manager, Business Applications.
Candidates will set priorities and oversee the identification of emerging opportunities that digital solutions can address to enhance UDST initiatives, operations, and collaboration among business units and faculty. S/he will manage the development of digital solutions, ensure quality assurance, and alignment of policies and procedures with UDST design and development protocols. The candidate will also facilitate process workflow modelling to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities and clearly defined end – to- end cases.
Candidates will lead digitalization, and ensure all applications standards are being enforced, in compliance with UDST policies and procedures. S/he will also ensure data protection practices are in compliance across all systems , monitor the Web Development pool and ensure proper utilization of time and resources is being implemented and adhered by the specialists.
Furthermore, candidates will organize digitalization strategies, and develop and promote best practices for usage, operations and development to aid developers and administrators in developing architecture for expansion. S/he will collaborate with the relevant stakeholders across the university to identify project requirements, and provide software solutions and assist with integration to optimize business processes.
The Supervisor, Digital Solutions will provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates to contribute to the development of employees and must have excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, delegation and communications skills as well as the ability to act as a mentor to team members.

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree IT or related field is required.
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience is required in Education sector
Fluency in written and spoken English language.

Other Required Skills:
Highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a desire to achieve organizational success. Ambitious and self-motivated team player with a high standard of professional integrity. Knowledge of Principles of IT Technology, Application Development, Systems Integration, IT Project Management and Functional Requirement Analysis is required. Reliable and dependable with a desire to lead by example is required. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. The candidate should have the ability to anticipate change and effectively manage quality and risk at all times. Effective resource management and coaching and mentoring skills are essential. Effective problem solving skills, time management and the ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of the organization is also required. Knowledge of Education Technologies. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. A Commitment to ongoing training and continuous professional development is desirable. Fluency in English language is required. The ability to speak Arabic is an asset.
