The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Teaching Assistant, Business Administration in the following areas: Accounting, Marketing, Banking & Fintech, Healthcare Management, and HRM. Reporting to the Department Chair, School of Business Management and Information Technology, the candidate is expected to have a solid understanding of Business courses in his area with the skills and expertise necessary to support the School of Business Management and Information Technology in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will assist in the organization and delivery of tutorials, Lab lessons and support applied student learning and development.
Candidates should have an excellent record of industry experience in Business Administration, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Teaching Assistant in the designated fields. The successful candidate is responsible for assisting with the preparation and delivery of; Lab sessions, tutorials, and planning and organization instruction to maximize student development and retention. Candidates will assist in the design and delivery of hands-on exercises and supervise learning projects to facilitate TVET practice-based learning and they will monitor student work in a laboratory setting.
Responsibilities will also include supporting the Lead Instructor with the maintenance of course portfolio documents that are required for accreditation processes. They will support the faculty in marking students’ assignments and examinations in line with the guidelines. They will monitor class attendance as required.
The Teaching Assistant will attend departmental meetings and participate in initiatives to monitor and enhance student learning and development.

Education and Certifications:
Minimum of Bachelor in Business Administration (with a focus on at least one of: Accounting, Marketing, Banking & Fintech, Healthcare Management, HRM) from a recognized, accredited institution.
2 Year Experience working as part of a team in an educational setting, preferably in a postsecondary institution.
Excellent English: verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Bilingual in English and Arabic is preferable.
IELTS score of 6 and above.

Other Required Skills:
Self-motivated team player with a proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. Good attention to detail is essential. The ability to anticipate change is required. Commitment to applied and experiential learning and an ability to develop technology-enriched learning environments is required. Commitment to positive relationship building, and collaborative working across all levels of the organisations is required. A Commitment to ongoing training and continuous professional development is desirable. Knowledge of Classroom Preparation would be an advantage and Candidates should demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills along with fluency in English language. Competence in Arabic will also be an asset.
