Job Description
The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Temporary Testing Officer in the Admissions and Registration Department. Reporting to the Testing Centre Supervisor, the Temporary Testing Officer must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Testing Centre in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will support the Testing Centre Supervisor to ensure that all in-house and IELTS test administration is managed effectively and professionally, following all the IELTS and college’s policies and procedures. The successful candidate will perform duties of a confidential nature, requiring a strong attention to detail in order to ensure all testing systems run accurately. They will also conduct candidate registration/verification, maintain the security of test materials, and follow all instructions in the testing manuals and maintain the confidentiality and integrity of test scores.
The candidate should have significant experience working in testing administration or a related field preferably within higher education, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Temporary Testing Officer.
The successful candidate will act as first point of contact on behalf of the Testing Centre and provide a high standard of customer service to all visitors. They will deal with candidates face to face, by phone and through email, answering inquiries and handling complaints according to Testing Centre protocols.
The candidate will maintain inventory of test materials, correct completion and secure storage of the inventory, distribution and secure destruction of test materials.
Also, they will check applications for IELTS registrations in ORS to verify candidate details and authenticity of identification documents and register IELTS candidates on test day in accordance with the IELTS policies and procedures and verify the identity of candidates in IAM. The successful candidate will monitor and ensure the smooth operation of the tests according to the college and IELTS policies and protocols and maintain scores in IWAS database.
Other duties and responsibilities include, preparing and printing Test Reports Forms and sending results via email and SMS according to the testing timelines and policies. Also, invigilating exams for small groups or candidates with special requirements as directed by the Testing Centre Supervisor.
The successful candidate will attend any required training and be able to use any IELTS systems such as IAM, IWAS, ORS, and SharePoint.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required in a relevant discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a post-secondary environment.
Experience in assessment and standardized testing is an advantage.
Knowledge of ORS, IWAS, IAM systems is an asset.
Language:
Fluency in written and spoken English language is required.
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is an asset.

Other Required Skills:
Good organization skills with a high standard of professional integrity. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. The ability to think analytically and solve problems and good attention to detail is required. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organization is required. Candidates should demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is required.
