About the Job:
Responsible for designing unique user-centric products and experiences. Turn any user-experience journey into an intuitive and smooth design, working in agile teams, with developers, UX designers and co-writers.
Optimize existing user interface designs, and design and deliver intuitive, user-centred designs optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces. Apply the latest advancements in the UI industry to design outputs.
Create visual designs that effectively communicate product function and brand identity, including the design and production of screen layouts, colour palettes, typography, user interface elements, and icons.
Produce user requirement specifications, journey maps, service blueprints, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, interactive prototypes, and design specifications.
Make and present design decisions to improve the information architecture of the design, based on fundamental design thinking principles, Qatar Airways’ design system and style guides.
Participate in ideation and conceptual development of new products and features, within an interdisciplinary team that includes creative and market leads, product managers, and developers.
Work in agile team, collaborating closely with developers and copywriters, work with UX designers to execute their vision for the product, making sure every page and step a user will experience falls within that vision.
Work with the user testing and research teams to test designs, measure their success and iterate based on user feedback.
Develop designs spanning different devices; ensuring best practices are followed based on device platform, key audience and user behaviour.
Develop designs with the user at their core, ensuring they meet users’ needs expectations at that specific point in their journey and helping them complete the desired task quickly, and without friction.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
In order to be able to perform in this role you must have Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience and experience with customer experience, design thinking, design research, user interface design, graphic design and motion graphic.
Be creative and ahead-of-the-curve.
Proven proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Protopie, Zeplin and Photoshop.
A portfolio of work demonstrating compelling design solutions for end-to-end experiences
Ability to work extensively with cross-funcutional teams.
Experience working in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
