Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer specialized in Power Systems to join Abqaiq Plants Operations Department. The organization handles all electrical equipment related issues associated with power systems and networks used to provide power to Abqaiq Plants process areas.
The engineer is expected to lead, monitor the efforts in troubleshooting and determine the root causes of failures for several types of electrical equipment such as generators, motors, MCCs, switchgears, transformers, UPSs, Battery Chargers, DC Systems, etc. In addition, the engineer is expected to have full knowledge and experience in analyzing and diagnosing combustion gas turbine generators including their excitation systems.

Key Responsibilities
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Provide day-to-day technical support to operations and maintenance to troubleshoot electrical equipment related issues.
Develop, evaluate and review electrical equipment engineering design for reliability enhancements and required modifications/upgrades.
Lead electrical equipment failures and trips investigation and produce the associated reports.
Develop and maintain the power systems reliability and improvement reports/studies for electrical equipment.
Review the equipment historical data and conduct reliability studies.
Develop and review electrical equipment design packages.

Minimum Requirements
As a successful candidate you
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry operating facilities. A membership with internationally recognized technical societies is preferable.
Are able to develop design packages and conduct studies related to electrical equipment.
Can propose and deploy reliability improvement technologies/solutions and innovative ideas.
Must have Fundamental Engineering (FE) and recommended to have a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
Have Knowledge of international standards and best practices.
Have a comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in electrical equipment design, maintenance, assessments, studies, investigations, analysis, and optimization, troubleshooting, producing detailed reports and developing sound technical evaluations. Knowledge in electrical equipment field repairs/maintenance.
