Engineering Facilities Administrator – Qatar Airways – Doha, Qatar

About the Role
Acts as the primary liaison between QAS Engineering, HIA Facilities Maintenance and their contractors for all building and workshop equipment maintenance issues, as well as coordinating support for identified work requests to Engineering Department related operational areas including but not limited to the Workshop, Stores and the GSE Wash bay.
Performs routine inspection of areas, buildings and workshop equipment, or other inspections required by the company to ensure areas are safety compliant at all times. Coordinates cleaning and maintenance of facilities to reflect a clean and professional environment.
Collates documentation such as material certification, internal and 3rd party inspection records and other certificates of Compliance for Documentation Packages.
Assists Stores Staff with goods inward inspection of facility related items as specified in purchasing documents, checking that certification relates to goods received.
Ensures that all preventative maintenance, repairs and requested work to workshop equipment or the facility is completed on schedule.
Initiates and follows-up on the Warranty Process for all workshop fitted and portable equipment.
Provides back-up support to the Manager as needed to oversee the installation and commissioning of new items like machineries, tools and laying of furniture which includes travel to sites as necessary to accomplish responsibilities.
Ensures facilities requirements like workbenches, equipment, table chairs, IT items etc. as may be required for the new location are met in a timely manner.
Identifies, checks and controls nonconformities relating to inspection of site and the ongoing jobs of the facility upgradation or building of new facility.
Provides condition readiness reports and updates to management.
Maintains all Workshop equipment certification.
Liaises with Suppliers/Manufactures to arrange for third party inspections or repairs (as required).
Liaises with Workshop on preparation of equipment for inspections or repairs. Ensures all workshop equipment is in proper working order by maintaining appropriate records.
Acts as back-up for managing the keys, key card systems and locker combinations across all QAS Engineering locations.
Ensure that all relevant tools and equipment should be organised and catalogued.
Regular checks should be made to ensure all tools and equipment are present and in full-working order conduct the periodic inspection and document the record based on physical check.
Check annual inventory of facility tools / Machines to ensure suspense dates are met. Ensure that tools machines are sent for calibration, initiate disposal process of damaged or defective.
Maintain and keep the records for workshop library (Manuals/CDs/softcopies).
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About You
High School Qualification with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 1 years of job-related experience
Essential: Prior Facilities Services Experience
Prior vendor management.
Knowledge of facilities and/or property management, and workshop equipment and tooling
Experience with MS Windows and Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and Project Schedule) is required.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Ability to accomplish projects independently, with minimal supervision.
Ability to think creatively and recommend smart and cost-effective solutions.
General health and safety compliance knowledge.
Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to communicate with staff and other entities. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
High sense of urgency and attention to detail
Preferred: Facilities Services Certification(s)
Knowledge with workshop machineries and tooling will be an added advantage.
Able to performing minor repairs and/or upgrades to equipment.
Prior leadership role.
