Lead the engineering rapid response teams to provide complex troubleshooting, engineering evaluations, operability determinations, Operational Decision-Making Issues (ODMIs) and temporary modifications for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) as per the regulatory requirements, operating policies and principles, nuclear standards for nuclear safety, industrial safety, and environmental protection, to ensure overall business performance objectives are achieved.
Engineering Rapid Response
Designate teams or individuals in response to complex troubleshooting requests from Maintenance, Operations or other Engineering departments to find and fix complex problems with systems or components.
Review or lead engineering evaluations in support of Operations or Maintenance requirements to provide information in a short time-frame.
Confer with other departments to understand requirements and then assign resources in response to requests for engineering evaluations, operability determinations or ODMIs so that requirements can be met in a timely and effective manner.
Review and assess engineering evaluations, operability determinations, temporary modifications, and ODMIs before they are communicated to requestors or regulators to provide quality control.
Designate work group assignments to ensure a balance of skills and experience across the four teams.
Develop the monthly and quarterly schedules to provide on-site coverage for weekends and 24-hour coverage for outages.
Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
Support outage and/or the emergency response organization, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.
Staff Training and Qualification
Enforce management expectations to the section to ensure high level of training participation and effectiveness.
Monitor and instruct to improve staff performance and critically evaluate performance of individual staff to identify necessary training.
Verify training programs provide necessary technical knowledge and skills to ensure staff are properly trained and qualified to perform assigned responsibilities.
Provide training feedback on program effectiveness with evaluation of performance to enhance staff training and qualification program.
Provide input into the development of the section’s systems and processes, as well develop and implement the Section’s procedures, identifying opportunities for the continuous improvement of practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
Monitor, control and report Operational and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the Section, to track performance and recommend corrective or mitigating actions.
Ensure that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, to meet the Section’s requirements and standards.
Health and Safety and Security
Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Division/Department/Section by the delivery of the Health and Safety Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality services and a responsible environmental attitude.
Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission critical activities.
Manage the effective achievement of the Organization’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, and providing formal and informal constructive feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy.
Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related Science.
At least 10-15 years of relevant experience, 7 of them are on Head or Managerial level
