In this role you perform conventional and moderately complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline. You will apply engineering techniques and analyses which may involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications.

The Road Design Engineer assist in developing the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements and monitoring progress to maintain those schedules and budgets.
Develop conceptual, preliminary, final design plans and tender documents including detailed design of horizontal and vertical alignments, profiles, grading, signage design, typical cross sections and detours plans utilizing road design software as applicable.
Complete a variety of assignments such as engineering B.O.Q and specifications.
Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality, estimates, and designs.
Preparing all reports related to the projects design stages.
Perform quality assurance procedures.
Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Master or Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 10 years’ experience working as the Design Engineer in responsible charge of urban and rural roadways, interchanges from conceptual design through final design and development of construction documents and specifications. A thorough working knowledge of AASHTO design guidelines is required.
Must have working knowledge in Microstation, Geopak, Auto CAD, Inroads, MX Road and other highway design software and MS Office software.
Knowledge of the development of renderings using available 3D software is desirable.
Prior experience in the GCC countries would be a plus.
Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal and have experience in composing correspondence related to his/her responsibilities.
Should be MME registered in Qatar.
