The overall scope of this role is to be able to manage the operations of Pool & Beach Area and Kid’s Club to deliver an excellent Guest experience while achieving the Department’s annual budget and driving the team to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the implementation, management and monitoring of the Hotel’s health and safety policy in so far as it effects the Recreation department.
Take daily operational control of all aspects of the Recreation department according to standards established by the hotel.
Responsible for the smooth operation of all Recreation departmental activities, whether operated directly or by a third party.
Take overall control for the production, monitoring, revision and training of all staff on the departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
Ensure systems are in place to guarantee the Recreation team members are delivering services against pre-defined departmental SOP’s, ensuring guests needs and expectations are met by providing efficient and professional service.
Conduct regular meetings and briefings to keep employees informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.
Assume overall responsibility to maintain standards & ensure that facilities and equipment are clean, well maintained and in good working order.
Lead in promoting and organizing ‘events’ which are within the scope of the available area of operation.
Responsible for the creation and management of an innovative activities program for in-house guests and their children.
Maintain appropriate standards of conduct and posture of all Recreation staff, and all third-party staff working on behalf of the department.
Ensure all departmental staff recognizes repeat guests and that other VIP’s receive special attention / recognition.
Conduct a comprehensive weekly departmental meeting to include review of procedures and events which warrant special attention and detailed information.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
Leadership Skills
Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment, including oral and written language skills in English; Any additional languages are an advantage
Operational knowledge of the role with minimum 2 years experience in the same role within 5 Star Hotels
Luxury Hotel Experiences
Communication skills
Knowledge of hotel operations
Knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Opera
Knowledge of Micros is an advantage
