Product Management Specialist – Bahrain Petroleum Company , Bahrain

Define goals for digital development projects and communicate with the stakeholders across the board, including users, business managers, and the development team, to ensure that the goals are clear. Create a vision for digital development projects in alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate with the project teams, understand business needs, prepare business cases, develop user stories, and translate these into digital product requirements.
Create a product roadmap based on the articulated and agreed product vision, providing a high-level, strategic visual summary that outlines the objectives and the direction for the product development over time and serves as a strategic guide for stakeholders as a reference as well as a plan for execution.
Create the list of backlog items and prioritize them based on the overall product strategy business objectives; map out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development.
Manage the product backlog and continually update it based on evolving project needs throughout development, make the to-do list accessible and available to the development team and other stakeholders, to ensure optimized performance and project outcomes.
Prioritize development project work in relation to scope, budget, and time, weighing priorities according to the needs and objectives of stakeholders, gauging which areas have flexibility to schedule each iteration and product element development accordingly.
Oversee the actual development of the product throughout each event, including planning, refinement, review, and sprint, work with stakeholders to identify and organize the steps required for the next iteration, facilitate team meetings to refine the process, identify areas for improvement, and support the sprint.
Take accountability for each stage of the development process and the final digital product, inspecting and evaluating product progress through each iteration, making a judgment call on the performance, to decide if to recycle or move on to the next steps.

Minimum BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 4 years of proven digital product or project development experience in large and complex companies, preferably in Oil & Gas or similar process industry.
Balanced IT knowledge and business acumen, with a well-established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles.
Experience in successfully driving end-to-end delivery of digital data and intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g. dashboards, APIs, real time alerts, mobile applications, IoT, etc.
Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills, Agile project delivery and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability.
Experience with procurement, expense management, planning and monitoring project budgets.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good team-player, with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under pressure.
