The Corporate Logistics Team plan, move and control the flow of goods from point of origin to point of consumption across all divisions, markets and brands within Alshaya. Working closely with brand teams to ensure appropriate stock and delivery to store, the team manages a range of complex and diverse activities including shipping, freight, warehouse operations, customs clearance (in-bound and out-bound), compliance and project management.

The Role:

Monitor ongoing performance and business profitability against plan to enable/give direction to corrective action/optimize ongoing business performance. Advise and assist with the planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, modelling and reporting of the Regional Logistics Network. Assist in the development of the 3-year strategic Network Plan

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

Develop detailed cost baseline summaries for all freight modes & trade corridors ensuring data integrity prior to RFQ events
To plan & control all RFQ Events for all Freight modes interacting directly with 3 PLs, Direct Carriers & Internal (Alshaya) stakeholders
To manage contracting & implementation phase of Group Freight Category Management Process
Provide accurate information & support to Regional Freight Managers during contract negotiations & new business award implementations
To support Brand stakeholders taking responsibility for the management & maintenance of Cost Matrix methodology applied
To support Group Freight strategic sourcing objectives

Knowledge:
Graduate qualification in logistics desirable
Supply chain visibility systems
Volume & Cost responsibility
Group Freight Network (Origin, Port, Destination)
3 PLs

Experience
3 Years’ Experience as a senior analyst or similar Position
