Senior Procurement Manager (Phoenix) – IT – Alshaya , Kuwait

The Role:
As a Senior IT Procurement Manager, you will manage Procurement activities and personnel across all MENA regions within the Information Technology Function. Ensure equipment, material and services are purchased in the most cost and time-efficient manner and delivered to plan; audit and develop existing process and personnel to increase efficiency of the area and reduce timescales. Input to final decisions regarding suppliers and initiate and encourage business and organization partnerships. Recommend procurement strategy, criteria and detailed procedures consistent with corporate policy, project requirements and good commercial, legal and ethical practice. Develop and manage regional procurement hubs to ensure consistency of training, development and process across MENA within the procurement function.

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

Build and consolidate key strategic relationships with profitable suppliers and between relevant Alshaya Departments locally and regionally
Negotiate with external vendors to encourage and secure advantageous terms and efficient process
Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services (PI & PO)
Monitor and approve purchase details of orders and deliveries
Develop, lead and execute purchasing and efficiency strategies consistently across MENA
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Discover and partner with appropriate vendors and suppliers
Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
Train, Coach and Mentor new and existing team members
Oversee external and internal audits
Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures
Successful monitor and manage obligations to suppliers, customers and third-party vendors across MENA
Oversee day-to-day operations across MENA from a strategic perspective
Provide credible and timely solutions to issues (e.g. conflicts, Delay in deliverables, shipping & customs, effective enforcement of regulations)
Execute policies and processes as directed by line management
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed
Support new technology implementation
Oversee software license management
Oversee the tender process
