I&E Technician I – Airswift , Oman

Job description
Our major client, an upstream operator, is seeking an I&E Technician I to work within their facilities located in Lost Cabin, Wyoming for a 12-month assignment.

Job Responsibilities:
Providing electrical, electronics, communications, and instrumentation support to maintain wells, equipment, and facilities consistent with the Asset’s business direction and in a manner that is safe, efficient, and environmentally sound;
Participating in project planning including P&ID development, Cause & Effects Development, RTU and Control System design;
Performing all duties in compliance with COPC Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System, applicable government regulations, and industry best practices;
Maintaining and optimizing SCADA communications systems and programmable logic controllers. (Allen -Bradley, Bristol, Idec);
Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical, pneumatic, process controls and new equipment as projects dictate;
Training and mentoring Systems, Engineering and Operations staff;
Supervising contract labor in the installation, maintenance, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment.

Required Skills:
1+ years direct experience reading instrumentation and electrical diagrams;
1+ years of experience troubleshooting and calibrating instrumentation;
Ability to travel 10% of the time;
Willing and able to work overtime;
Valid driver’s license;
Legally authorized to work in the United States;

Preferred Skills:
Associate degree in Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) or related field;
3+ years direct experience in the I&E field;
3+ years direct experience reading instrumentation and electrical diagrams;
3+ years of experience troubleshooting and calibrating instrumentation;
3+ years of experience working on control system equipment (PLC’s, DCS);
Strong commitment to Safety;
Proficient (perform with limited assistance) with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
Excellent communication and teamwork skills* Orientation toward continuous process improvement;
Ability to supervise contract labor effectively* Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments;
Actively communicates and takes time to safely perform work to protect our people and environment;
Consistently demonstrates high integrity, behaves ethically, and follows through on commitments;
