Educational Qualifications
Bachelor degree in IT/Computer Science (or Similar) with 10 years of experience in IT Security Systems & Operations Management of which 05 years in managerial level.
Master degree in the related field will be an advantage.

Skills/Knowledge
Proficient in English (Spoken & Written)
Proficiency in Windows applications/software/servers
Proficiency in VPN, switches, routers, firewalls, content filters, WAN acceleration devices, endpoint security, IPS/IDS and encryption.
Extensive knowledge of IT Security design, operation and management specialized knowledge
Ability to design, maintain and operate teams
Project Management skills. Functional understanding of project management principles and their application to IT Security projects and teams.
Strong leadership and management abilities. Ability to lead cross functional project teams in implementing projects of complex nature
Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and priorities and to redirect teams toward new objectives.
Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities and excellent written and spoken communication skills
Knowledge in Microsoft and UNIX operating systems and networking.
Knowledge in DR, Storage and Backup systems
Troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
Airline IT systems and requirements experience and knowledge is an added value.

Job Description
Strategic
Develop and managing and align IT security strategies and policies with internally and external bodies.
In coordination with other stakeholders, develop and ensure adherence to the IT security governance models and procedures.
Lead global, strategic technology initiatives to build and maintain key elements of the IT Security and associated project portfolio.
Provide leadership for delivery of 24/7/365 service operations and KPI compliance. Establish metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLA) to continually improve the performance of IT operations.
Ensure that ROI from different projects is achieved. With the in-depth understanding of IT Security technologies knowledge.
Assess current technology architecture for vulnerabilities, weaknesses and for possible upgrades or improvement
Evaluate department budget and costs associated with technological training
Implement and oversee technological upgrades, improvements and major changes to the information security environment
Serve as a focal point of contact for the information security team and the customer or organization
Communicate information security goals and new programs effectively with other department managers within the organization

Operations
Oversee information security audits, whether by performed by organization or third-party personnel
Provide information security awareness training to organization personnel
Management of overall IT Security systems and setup of the organisation and oversee the operations
Ensure all systems and applications deployed in the organisation has the minimum IT security standards
Lead and manage different Security projects as per the standard Project management models.
Coordinate with various IT section on various departmental and divisional IT issues
Prepare, review and finalise of IT budgets (Capital, Manpower, Training, operating) related to IT Security.
Coordinate with IT suppliers and vendors to ensure proper support is rendered as per the signed agreements and the agreed SLAs.
Coordinate with external parties like DGCAM, OAG, OAS, Oman Airports, Service providers, ROP, airlines for various IT Security projects
Set and implement user access controls and identity and access management systems
Monitor network and application performance to identify and irregular activity
Deploy endpoint detection and prevention tools to thwart malicious hacks
Set up patch management systems to update applications automatically
Implement comprehensive vulnerability management systems across all assets on-premises and in the cloud

People Development
1 Lead project teams developing and/or implementing computerized solutions to business needs.
2 Review employee performance and conduct appraisals in order to identify and provide opportunities for staff development aimed at increasing professionalism
3 Motivate, organize, mentor and manage the team by planning future skill requirements and technical trainings in coordination with Learning and Development department of the organisation.
