Job Description
The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Bookstore Supervisor. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Bookstore Supervisor must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the campus bookstore.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires a service –oriented and customer – centric individual who will provide assistance in the operation of the campus bookstore by helping customers in the purchase of books and/or supplies, receiving merchandise, and performing data entry within regards to inventory. The incumbent will also, manage purchasing of textbooks and ensure the textbooks are in alignment with course requirements.
Candidates should have experience working in a similar or related role, preferably within an educational institution and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Bookstore Supervisor. The candidates are responsible to assist students and instructors in locating textbooks or supplies, ensure the availability of back-ordered books, and liaise with the college’s Procurement Department to purchase and follow – up on orders for textbooks and other supplies.

Candidates will monitor the titles, ISBN, and quantity of textbooks received and reconcile with the purchase order. S/he will also, liaise with the schools to ensure textbook orders are in line with the school’s requirements and individual course objectives. Candidates will also coordinate with the Procurement Department to resolve text book issues with vendors for example, missing pages, shipment damages, etc. S/he will maintain bookstore stock inventory control records, provide a list of low stock items for reorder, and ensure orders received in PeopleSoft are interfaced to MMS system.
Candidates will provide high-level of customer service by responding to direct phone calls and walk – in inquiries by customers in a professional and timely manner, during hours of operation. S/he will also provide accurate information regarding stock availability in a timely manner. Candidates will ensure the bookstore is well – organized at all times. This includes ensuring shelves are labeled with the relevant details (ISBN, MMS, description, etc.), books are organized according to departments / themes, and merchandise is displayed in an appealing manner.

Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar or related role.
Language:
Fluency in written and spoken English language
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language, is preferred.

Other Required Skills:
Approachable, service-oriented & customer – centric. Reliable and dependable with a desire to lead by example is required. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. Good organization skills with a high standard of professional integrity. The ability to think analytically and solve problems and good attention to detail is required. Candidates should demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English language is required. The ability to speak Arabic is an asset.
