In this role,
you will act as the primary point of escalation for the Qatar Airways Lounge Management team and through effective relationship management with internal stakeholders as well as external contractors, you will ensure that any facilities issues which are impacting operations are resolved through effective prioritization.
You will be accountable for managing all Lounges Facilities Management contractors and will therefore support and guide them in the planning of all works and monitor their performance against contractual requirements using data from asset management systems provided by the Lounge Management teams. You will also carry out regular audits on the contractors to ensure that work is being carried out to a safe, efficient and high standard and meeting statutory requirements.
You will actively drive tender processes for new projects and provide cost analysis and technical evaluations of potential bidders as well as establish and follow up on performance targets and KPIs for new and existing contractors.
When required, you may need to attend emergency calls out of office hours for escalated issues within the Outstation Lounges in order to provide onsite coordination of the Facilities Management response in line with internal processed and business continuity planning.
Candidates will have a Bachelors Degree in Building Services/Building Sciences/Engineering/Facilities or Property Management plus a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role.
In addition, candidates will have the following job-specific experience and skills:
Practical experience in using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and Building Management Systems experience.
Well versed in relevant regulations pertaining to Health & Safety and statutory requirements.
Excellent command of English language with strong communication skills.
Ability to analyse and evaluate information and draw appropriate conclusions.
Proven financial management skills including the ability to prepare and deliver annual budgets.
Strong managerial skills including the ability to foster teamwork among team members and stakeholders, set clear direction as well as build relationships and manage expectations.
First class negotiation skills with solid industry understanding and business acumen.
