Your commitment
Reporting to the Department Chair of Information Technology, the Instructor will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of courses within the Information Technology program. S/he will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment. The Instructor will liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manage and control projects within the specified program area. Instructors will keep course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes and engage in instructional development/improvement plans. All employees are expected to contribute to professional and community life within the College and beyond.

Qualifications
A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent Information Systems Professional designation, with specialization in the subject area and recent, relevant work experience is required. A thorough knowledge of computer hardware and networking infrastructure; a strong knowledge base of local and wide area networking, Internet/Intranet connectivity, network administration and PC troubleshooting is required. Preferred is a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Education (i.e. Post-Secondary Education, Adult Education or Vocational Education). Teaching experience, preferably at a post-secondary level, would be a definite asset; expertise in curriculum development is desirable. Knowledge and understanding of a variety of delivery and student success strategies is required. Candidates must also have knowledge of current teaching and learning methodologies and an ability to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Strong computer skills and knowledge of the appropriate use and integration of technology in the teaching and learning process are also required. Candidates must demonstrate exemplary communication and interpersonal skills and expert fluency in English. Effective problem solving skills, an ability to work in a team and learner centered environment, and the ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of the organization are also required. Intercultural competence including intercultural sensitivity and adaptability, and the ability to conduct oneself appropriately and effectively in another culture, are essential. Knowledge of the CNA system and its programs is a definite asset.
