The School of Engineering Technology and Industrial Trades invites applications for Part-Time positions the following fields:

Mechanical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Electrical Engineering (Power, Instrumentation, and telecommunication)

Qualifications
A minimum of Master’s degree (or equivalent as designated and approved) in a relevant discipline from a recognized, accredited institution.
A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a post-secondary, adult training, or industry training environment,
For Mechanical Engineering position
A minimum of 5 years of employment experience as manufacturing engineer. The candidate should be able to operate conventional and computerized machining equipment, welding experience is an asset.
Or a minimum of 5 years of employment experience as maintenance engineer, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
For Chemical Engineering positions
A minimum of 5 years of operational experience in oil and gas industry.
For Electrical Engineering – Power
A minimum of 5 years of Industrial experience in Plant power equipment, Generation and/or distribution systems.
For Electrical Engineering – Instrumentation
A minimum of 5 years industrial experience in one of the following areas:
Design or operation of Distributed Control Systems
Maintenance of Actuators, transmitters and controllers
Process Analyzers
Process tuning and optimization
Equipment Calibration
For Electrical Engineering – Telecommunication and Networking
A minimum of 5 years working experience and certification in at least one of the following CISCO Exams is desirable.
Any of the CCNA Levels (CCNA routing and Switching, CCNA Voice, CCNA Wireless, CCNA security etc.). Any of the CCNP Levels (CCNP routing and Switching, CCNP Voice, CCNP wireless, CCNP security etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Education, Adult Education or Vocational Education)
Record of successful participation/leadership in applied research projects
Experience in leadership and innovation in technology based project

Other Required Skills:
Commitment to applied and experiential learning as a pedagogy and a key feature of the College’s mandate
Ability to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in program outcomes
Digital literacy and demonstrated fluency in technology systems, and an ability to model and facilitate use of current and emerging digital tools to support research and learning
Demonstrated ability to develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable students to be active participants in their own learning
