Responsibilities
Integrity Management System requirements for Regulatory Compliance and/or Environmental Protection
Support Manager for all compliance activities such as: performing analytical work, executing action logs, risk logs, project and operational quarterly self-assessments, compliance verification’s, audits, and/or all requests from AER and CER
Effective and timely response to regulatory and environmental requests
Monitoring AER and CER legislative impact assessments for Crude and Gas pipeline and tank projects, ensuring detailed review of legislation, appropriate communication to stakeholders, and execution of action items
Regulatory and environmental compliance metrics tracking and stewardship
Project reviews to ensure regulatory and environmental compliance from development through to execution
Permit and license management, including new projects, renewals, variances, amendments, cancellations, and reports
Development and maintenance of procedures and manuals to incorporate current regulatory and environmental requirements
Compliance tracking of regulatory and/or environmental events, including reporting, annual submissions, audit findings, confirmation of incident reporting requirements and effective closure of findings
Risk assessment participation and/or execution, and update of applicable risk inventories
About you

Requirements
5+ years’ experience in the Regulatory and/or Environmental in Canada, with exposure to both Provincial (AER) and Federal requirements (CER) related to crude and gas pipelines and related facilities (useful knowledge includes: environment, fire code, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, emergency response, EPEA Approvals, D56, D55, Manual 005, CER Onshore regulations, CER Filing Manual, etc.)
University degree in Engineering, Geology, Law or any degree with specialization in Policy, Environmental Studies or similar
Oil & Gas or pipeline experience
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills, with strong ability to lead cross functional teams
Strong computer skills (Excel, Access, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, other database systems, etc..)
Ability to assess and react effectively and constructively to a broad scope of work items and changing work priorities in high paced environment
Analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Ability to procure data and information from a variety of sources (i.e. policies and regulations)
Ability to travel for work as required
Audit experience with AER and CER
Project related experience
