In this role
you will be Supervising, monitoring and inspecting the work daily to assure proper quality control and to make sure that all works conform to all plans, specifications, standards and codes etc.
You will review and check, on a daily basis, contractor’s submission of inspection forms to ensure compliance with updated contract/construction documents.
You will maintain a non-compliance register and ensure contractors perform remedial works.
You will monitor field variations and keep the Engineer and/or Senior Engineer informed of these changes.
You will review manpower requirements relative to meeting current job progress schedules, follow-up for timely delivery of materials to meet established schedules. You will maintain proper and updated records of all work done, including records of change works, tests, inspections, status of work, safety, site diary, materials and equipment on-site, labors, day-works, etc.
You will ensure contractor compliance with safety program and all applicable safety codes and regulations. You will review the monthly estimate work completed, and participate in testing and commissioning and handover process of completed works. Attend meetings and workshops.
You should have Technical degree in Engineering or Construction Management or Building Construction or similar in the required field of expertise, with minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in large complex building and/or infrastructure, Minimum 10 year’s site supervision and inspection experience in development and construction of Fuel Farms & Systems Works for large/complex projects. In addition, minimum 5 years professional experience in large international airport (> 20 MAP) projects, knowledge of building construction, materials, systems and trade practices and excellent English language oral and written skills. Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and experience in operational airport environment are preferred.
