Senior Manager Commercial PMCM – Qatar Airways , Qatar

In this role
you will manage or direct a team of Quantity Surveyors to perform contract administration functions on works and service contracts.
Liaise with PMCM, Cost Consultants, Design Consultants etc. in respect of all Programme commercial, contracts and legal matters.
Prepare tender documentations and perform procurement and tendering tasks.
Review and comment on tender documents, bills of quantities, cost estimates produced by consultants.”
Participate in tender evaluation and recommendation.
Review monthly progress and cost reports.
Review payment applications and invoices of Consultants/Contractors/Suppliers.
Management of functions related to cost control / management.
Monitor and keep Head informed of any change/variation made to the project through coordination with technical team/PMCM/Design Consultants/Cost Consultants/Contractors.
Conduct change/variation meetings to agree variation orders.
Ensure variation orders are determined and assessed in accordance with the Contract Provisions.
Settlement of contractual disputes and analyses time and cost implications.
Finalization of Project Final Account.
Attending chairing commercial and budget meetings or workshops.

Qualifications
You should have a degree in Quantity Surveying/Engineering or equivalent with Minimum 20 years of professional experience in cost management of large or complex projects, minimum 7 years professional experience in pre and post contract functions in large international airport (>20 MAP) projects or large multi-phase projects. Minimum 5 years professional experience in contract administration of Project Management Construction Management and other Consultancy (i.e. Design & Cost) Contracts, and Minimum 7 year’s site experience. You must be registered as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor or equivalent, knowledge of building construction, quantity surveying, contract, procurement, legal and dispute resolution, experience in claims management and dispute mitigation/resolution and Excellent English language oral, written and presentation skills. Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and cost management systems are desirable; also, experience in operational airport environment is preferred.
