Purpose of the Job
Manage projects and assign new facilities, remodel, and other projects from planning and design through construction completion and grand opening. Accountable for all aspects of the projects including cost and schedule. Act as a company representative for Construction projects and as a senior member of the Construction team for advisory purposes. Work on other projects on behalf of management as assigned
Oversee, assess, and negotiate fees, for architects, engineers, and other outside consultants.
Oversee, assess, bid, and negotiate General Construction Contracts for all assigned projects. Implement, manage and maintain turnkey and construction budgets and schedules according to prescribed company plans, programs, policies, and procedures
Manage all company-supplied vendors and ensure performance and delivery of company-responsible items and schedules.
Coordinate all aspects of the project with company departments to ensure project delivery and completion.
Keep management aware of any critical items or situations having an impact on project delivery or cost.
Respond to requests for information and assistance from other company departments and outside vendors and contractors.
Maintain department policy and procedure regarding budgets, payments, and change orders.
Facilitate issues regarding payments with appropriate company departments.
Maintain detailed knowledge of all projects and schedules for their assigned projects.
Track Capital Expenditure Requests to ensure timely review and approval.
Maintain department standards in regard to project files and other forms of departmental communication.
Will function as a contact as assigned to special projects on behalf of the company.
Maintain and follow internal standards, international and local laws and regulations regarding specifications and technical requirements
Qualifications and Skills Required
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction with a minimum of 7 years in project/construction management experience.
Demonstrated personnel, project, and time management skills.
Excellent computer skills including AutoCAD, MS Project, Word, and Excel.
Communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to communicate in Arabic and English languages fluently.
Ability to handle matters professionally, confidentially.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize these tasks and follow through to ensure timely results.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Analytical skills both mathematical and problem-solving
